It’s nice but unfortunately it does not work with the Bluetooth app that you are supposed to install. The app does not recognize the stand at all.Edit- fortunately after the fact I was able to find a different app that works with this stand.

Cute colorful monitor stand with its own app of course
This is a cool usb-powered monitor stand with built in LED lighting. You can control it from the controller on the power cord, but there’s an app to give you more control over the lighting design of the device. I may try the app, but I plan to mostly leave it on a single color on my desk and not bog down my phone any more.The instruction sheet in the package doesn’t really say much about standalone mode – it spends 2/3 of the paper talking about the app. Timers, app skins, music and mic response, all sorts of things you can do. I’m not excited about those things, but it’s nice to know the option is there.I’ll just step through the main button on the wired remote and enjoy the sturdiness (almost half an inch thick!) and brightness of the stand.

Scratches/marks
As other reviewers stated, this item comes with noticeable scratch-like marks that are even more evident with the lights on. They’re everywhere and INSIDE the acrylic. The mobile app controller is terrible, but once you pick/customize a mode, just turn it on/off and it will stay that way. I’m keeping it because it looks really nice and the pattern helps a little bit with the marks. I would buy the totally clear one, those marks are going to make it look horrible.

Love this stand
I really love this computer stand. It looks so cool on my desk. An added bonus is that my 75% keyboard fits underneath it giving me more space on my desk when I tuck it underneath the stand.

Looks great
My son loves this. It looks really cool in his room with his “gaming setup” and makes the best use of his desk space. His monitor fits on it easily and it lights up really nicely, the light is distributed well. We haven’t used the app, the customizations using the button work fine and we plugged it in with a phone charger.

Really cool with the RGB!! And simple to plug in if you an extra port.
This was really good! And perfect for a simple desktop setup! My setup actually looks very similar to the pictures that this listing shows you. Just a monitor and PS5, so you can see why this riser appealed to me! The riser does have a USB plug and not a regular wall plug, so it good for if you have an extra outlet on your computer or PS5 that it could be plugged into. No need to try and squeeze this one into a wall or power strip. The lighting feature is only attached to the one of the bottom sides of the riser and clear design of the riser sort of distributes the color through the rest of the riser. This is a little strange at first and I do wish there were lights on the other side as well, but there would probably have to be more wires. And the app that controls this riser’s colors and RGB lighting works!!! I mostly use it to turn it off and on but it does work! The acrylic is quite thick, so I do not see it bending or wrapping anytime soon especially if you are only using a monitor on the riser. All and all I am very happy with this riser!!

Stopped working after 3 months
I bought this stand because of the RGB lights. It has a nice light pattern. Just after the 3-month mark, it stopped working. It doesn’t turn on or anything. The app and included paperwork don’t contain any troubleshooting information. And because of the time frame, I have no other options. buyer beware.

Very sturdy & thick 💪
Ordered the clear I didn’t like the way the honeycomb looked& Love it ,, it’s very thick acrylic material that’s molded to fit as your monitor stand ,, it’s slightly bigger than it looks in the photos & the RGB lights work very well & have multiple settings via the hand switch off the cord which I really like because I haven’t downloaded the app yet to mess with the additional color settings not sure that I will because it’s pretty awesome just like it is,..I really like that the power cord and adjustments are easily within reach from the stand itself and can be easily hiddenOrdered an additional one for the desktop computer in another room 👍

I love it so much
It is great. But I am not going to use the app, I don’t have room on my phone for an app that only does the lights on a stand at work and I’m only in the office 3 days a week. Also not okay with the permissions required for what should be a simple lights app. I have more than enough colors with the preloaded patterns. And I like it so much that I bought another one for my other monitor. Because one on the sweet base and the other still held up with paper reams looks odd to say the least.I also enjoy all the extra space that I now have under the monitor.

BRIGHT!
It wasn’t intended for a 40″ monitor, but it works! Hopes were low when I saw that the LED strip was only on one side, but it still lights up everywhere! The difference in brightness on the far side is only noticeable in darkness and even then it is a small amount you’d only notice if you went looking for it.

This stand is insanely well made
This is heavy duty acrylic and the pattern on the stand really makes the rgb pop! It unfortunately doesn’t fit my monitor, make sure you measure the feet on your monitor haha😅I hope they come out with a longer option one day! It could also be used for a laptop which would be really cute I think.

This looks great on my computer table and fits well with my monitor and computer setup. The material of the stand is smooth acrylic, and the LED lighting is very bright and beautiful! Installing the app on my iPhone was a breeze and selecting different modes was also easy to do. I’m glad I picked the honeycomb design because it’s awesome! Highly recommended!

Honeycomb design beautiful
Excellent packaging. I chose the honeycomb design. Plugged in, set my desired color lights and sit back and enjoy. I use this riser with my printer as I need extra space under my printer for storage. Just the right height for my use. Very sturdy, no problem with weight of the printer or monitor. Love the way the riser lights up with the honeycomb design.

This is such a great idea and the operation of this stand is superb BUT it’s so messy looking.There are bubbles, prints, scratches & fog are everywhere inside of this. They are not on the exterior, they are all in between the acrylic layers and impossible to clean. It really distracts from the awesomeness of what this should be.

Compact and clear acrylic stand with RGB effects

This review is for the Aothia Acrylic Computer Monitor Stand Riser (clear version).I ordered this monitor stand because my previous monitor stand was a bit too tall and put my monitor at a height that was a bit uncomfortable for my viewing.The build quality is good but there were some minor issues. It is a solid piece of acrylic. Very thick and definitely capable of supporting the weight of my 27 inch monitor.The stand does have one USB A cable extending from the bottom of the right (if you’re placing the stand so that the cable runs to the back) leg.Of note is that there is an in line remote to control lighting colors and effects, however you can also control via app and Bluetooth. I didn’t bother with the app because I would just prefer to keep the light solid. There are some interesting options such as lighting based on ambient sound such as music but mostly it is either a choice of solid colors or a lot of flashing colors if using only the physical control button.The only issue I noticed is that the acrylic is not perfect. There were a lot of little dings chips. It is definitely not perfectly smooth. You can notice it most when the lights are on and looking directly at the edges. It looks a bit rough and feels rough. Being clear acrylic, it will also show dust and fingerprints easily.The other issue is the depth of the stand, and this may or may not be important to you depending on the base of your monitor. If you have one of those monitors with V shaped feet stands then the monitor feet might hang over the edge of the riser. If your monitor has a square flat base stand then you should be ok. I measured the dimensions (edge to edge) as 17 inches wide, 4 inches tall, about 7.75 inches deep (front to back). Be sure to measure your monitor’s stand footprint.Overall, this monitor riser/stand solves the problems I was having with my previous riser. The riser raises my monitor to a comfortable height and provides a bit of storage underneath and has some lighting effects. I deducted one star for the imperfections (you can notice in attached video) in the acrylic, but otherwise, the Aothia Acrylic Computer Monitor Stand Riser is still recommended.

Maximizes Small Spaces!
I have a very small desk/office area in my bedroom and I’ve been trying to optimize the very limited space as much as possible. This monitor stand is absolutely perfect and exactly what I’ve been looking for. My Bluetooth speaker fits underneath, along with a few other office supplies, and it opens up the space around the monitor so my iPhone stand and coffee cup are more easily accessible. I got this for its small footprint, not the LED light strip (although that is fun and there are a number of different lights and settings I’m sure others are sure to enjoy). My desk looks much less cluttered and I couldn’t be more pleased!

Surprisingly close to as advertised – but app is too invasive for comfort
I was surprised that this looks pretty close to what is advertised. The acrylic stand is sufficiently sturdy to hold a modern display. It has nice rubber feet all along the two sides to keep it firmly in place.The LED lights are on the right hand side of the unit but the light travels through the acrylic to evenly diffuse the light across the product. While it looks best in a dark environment it is visible under office lights as depicted in my photos.It connects to any USB power source (not included). I was able to get it to light up with just a 5 watt iPhone charger so just about any USB adapter will do. There’s a button on the remote to switch display modes. It even has one that will react to sounds or music in the room!There is also a phone app on iPhone and Android that allows for customization of the colors and patterns. But it asks for your location when loading. There’s no reason it needs that information especially as it comes from some unknown Chinese company. So stick to the button.One other concern is that this is acrylic and it’s going to pick up finger prints and scratches very easily.

Monitor Stand
Neat idea – it has multiple colors and can be set to be a constant light, a flashing light, or a light that responds to noise. We haven’t figured out how to actually turn it off though, so my son just unplugs it when he goes to bed. It does look cool when it’s on.

This little monitor riser is pretty amazing. It gives me more space on my desk for paperwork while providing a bright light. The colors are amazing and rund all the way thru the riser and not just along the edge.The app is super simple to use. It gives you an almost endless array of colors to chose from and more patterns that I can even mention. And thr material is a nice thick plastic. I chose the honeycomb pattern because it makes it look attractive even powered off.If you have a tech person in your life, grab one of these while you can because they will absolutely love it.

I mostly love this

I have a built in power strip at the corner of my desk, and while convenient, it wastes valuable space. This acrylic riser is a great solution to give me some room back while adding some fun to my desktop. My gaming desk is full of rgb lights, so this was a perfect choice for me. The acrylic is much thicker and studier than I expected. I got the clear version, but I’m almost wishing I had gotten the honeycomb as the clear shows every fingerprint or smudge, but it’s clear acrylic so you have to expect that. The color options are really cool. The cord had a button to cycle through changing or steady colors. There is also an app you can download to give you lots more options. The app is really my only gripe. I’m not a fan of having to create yet another account just to change light patterns, so I’m undecided as to whether I’ll even use it. Other than that, this is really neat and it looks awesome in my setup. I’m really glad I came across this because my desk looks a lot less cluttered and a lot more fun!

Has an app to help you manage the colors and effects though the app is not very user friendly still works.. it’s just hard to figure out.You can change colors, cycles, brightness and stuff like that from the app or use the default settings using the on and off button . Really worth the price

Thin, but very pretty.
I’m really loving this acrylic monitor stand! My monitor is super thin (34″), so it’s holding up fine, but I might worry about it with a bulkier one. Still, it looks amazing on my desk, even without trying out the different colors. Plus, it’s a breeze to stash my mouse and stuff under the monitor now!

LED is only on one side, does not have the 3-pin controller seen in manual, and it came imperfect
This looks like a really cool monitor stand, and it is, mostly, but it does have flaws. Mainly the LED strip being on the right side with none on the left- this wouldn’t be an issue except the side with the LEDs is clearly brighter, and the dots of the individual LED lights glimmer like pretty diamonds while the other side just looks plain.Mine also had internal scuffing/fractures, not like a scratch on the outside, I mean like an internal thing within the acrylic itself, the way it was molded or perhaps stressed. I felt each side with a fingertip to make sure it was smooth, looked at if from every angle, and tried wiping it down with microfiber cloth- those marks aren’t on top or bottom, they’re within the acrylic itself and there’s nothing to do about it. That was pretty disappointing, since I took so much care wearing my knitted gloves just to unbox and set this up without covering it in fingerprints and it still isn’t “perfect”.The LED controller annoys me because if you look at the pic in the instructions you get, and the controller box, which has a little sticker showing the wiring diagram, it looks like this uses a universal 3-pin controller you can unplug and hook up to a different controller- it does NOT. It would have been nice to sync this to my LED ambiance bars which have a universal 3-pin LED strip connector on them, and the picture of the cord in the instructions shows that very universal connector, but the USB cord on the product does not detach, and inside the controller box the cord is soldered on and not removable (I checked it just to be sure). The product page when I bought this never SAID it had a universal connector, to be fair, but it feels lousy to see it in the included manual but not actually have it.The amount of space this gives me underneath IS awesome, too small for my gaming keyboard but perfect for a notebook and my pens and loose flash drives, I really love how much more organized this makes my desk, plus it looks WAY cooler than a plain wooden riser, even with its flaws. The clicker on the cord to change colors works great, and the available options are all bright and pretty. I’m not so much a fan of the flashing or running options, a bit too dazzling for actually USING your computer, but the color-changing mode that cycles colors is a fun accompaniment to media watching. Though again, the ability to sync to a different controller like the cord in the pictures of the manual might would have been even cooler…In the end, I like having this, but it does look lopsided when lit up, had flaws internally right out of the box, and the user manual shows a universal cord this only has a non-universal version of, which lead to after-the-fact disappointment. I don’t regret getting it, but neither can I say I’d advise you to… So 3-stars, for neutral.

Fun display stand
I got this stand for using under my cable/DVR box (yeah I still have one of those!) to lift it off the bottom of the entertainment center and make room for more display items. The LED colors are amazing and easily changed. Very heavy duty acrylic- I’m impressed. The app to control the lights can be downloaded to your phone, but I was glad to see that it’s not necessary. You can use the on/off switch to change modes, you just have to cycle through until you get to the one you want at the moment. I love the glow for nighttime hours too. I get much more use out of it in the entertainment center than I would as a monitor stand.
