STEP 1
Cut the Speaker Hole
Use the included cutout template to mark the mounting position. Cut all the way around the circle with a cutting saw.
STEP 2
Wire the Speaker
Route the wire to the input connectors. Insert the conductor into each spring loaded connector.
STEP 3
Install the Speaker
Insert the speaker into the hole until the frame is flush with the ceiling. Tighten all four screws to mount the speaker.
STEP 4
Attach the Grill
Install the grill by simply pushing it evenly into the hole until it snaps in place.

Blown away again
I have installed three different sets of these speakers over the past two years, and still can’t believe how good they are for the price. I just replaced some Polk in-ceiling with these and what a difference. The three speakers in each mount gives nearly a full range for movies, just add a sub and you’ve got spectacular home theater sound. Don’t look any further unless you’re willing to spend over $600 for speakers just a tiny bit better which wouldn’t even be a noticeable difference to non-audiophiles.

The tweeters do not gimbal(not tiltable)
So bummed the tweeters do not gimbal. We’ll see how this goes… actually, I’m pretty blown away these speakers sound great I can’t believe how great they sound, and the low end is solid. I’d put these up against speakers twice the price easily very very happy.

Awesome speakers and for the price…even better
Now have about 12 of these in the ceilings around my house and am really happy with the sound quality and ease of install. Sure you can buy more expensive and probably better sounding, but I am not trying to get concert level sound in my house and these are perfect for my old Sansui receiver and switch box.

Excellent speakers
Bought a new house and didn’t really have anywhere but the ceiling for speakers. Was unsure how it would sound,so I did some research and these were on the cheaper end and had great reviews, so I took a chance. Man am I glad I did The install went great, but the couple of them where the speaker fit snuggly in the hole I cut did have a struggle with the cover, so be aware of that. The sound is amazing and I am glad I got these. Been enjoying them for almost a year now and I have zero complaints.

Great choice
I just finished installing 10 of these speakers on the first floor of my house and I cant tell how great they sound. Like many reviews say I was skeptical of the low price, I am so glad I went ahead and purchased them. I manage many multi million dollar properties for a living so I regularly deal with high end whole house music systems, I have to tell you these sound just as good as most of them at a fraction go the cost. Do they match my high end theater systems? no and I never expected them to but for great low cost room filling background music I don’t think they can be beat. I will be buying more of them for my second floor and finished basement. I have them connected to Sonos connect amps

Good Quality sound from these speakers
I have wanted to put the In-Ceiling speakers in for a while to replace the speakers I had sitting on my Fireplace mantle. It took me about 2 hours to put all of them in and run the cables. They sound great. I am sure there are better quality speakers available, but having the speakers in the ceiling giving great sound to music, movies and anything else I put to it worked great. I did already have a powered Sub-woofer which helps with the low end, but overall it has been a great purchase. Once I had the speakers installed in the ceiling, some of the grills were a bit difficult to get in, but I was able to loosen the screws holding the speaker onto the drywall a bit and it helped to get the grills in.

On a budget? Buy these now!
I was skeptical at first to order these speakers because I wanted a system I not only enjoyed, but would be glad to show off to others. From the delivery, to the install, to the finished product, I have been thoroughly impressed! I almost purchased four definitive technology speakers at $299 each, but decided I would take a chance on these speakers allowing me more money for other items in my man cave. I am sure glad I did, because these sound almost as good. I hope this helps with your decision, especially if you are on a budget like me. Good luck, and keep rocking!

Good product, product oversight is poor.
Speakers themselves sound great. Ordered two sets minutes apart from each other. First set came two days early and was great a set of 5. Second set came delayed, shipped different carrier and arrived 3 days late. Then when it does arrive I only received 1 speaker. How do you send only 1 speaker when it clearly states 5 speakers and my first set was of 5 speakers like hello!?! I went with the frameless and the magnets came off which was odd to me and they wouldn’t go back on. Wonderful 0/2. Luckily I’m handy and got the magnets to attach back on and the frameless cover magnets right on and looks great. Plus they sound great and look very nice for the money.Pros: awesome sounding speakers for the money and they look great when installed.Cons: you have to hope you get what you ordered and PAID FOR! (5 speakers not 1) which is still mind boggling to me, and the magnets.. what gives? They’re supposed to be on the speaker not the speaker grill cover!!

Bang for your BUCK!
These speakers are simply bad ass! for the money. We have a home theater in which we have a name brand speaker system installed, which cost $700+ for (5.2). These speakers produce sound that is up there with the much more expensive set. We installed these in the patio and are absolutely enjoying these! Paired with a Sony/Yamaha 5.2 Receiver these work awesome. The sound is not lacking ever, when you are listening to music is perfect and when you are watching a movie its even better!.!! Crisp 3 dimensional sound when watching a movie outside is simply awesome. These are rated for both inside and outdoor use I am glad we choose to give these.

Good Quality for the price, order issues multiple times
I ordered two sets of these and only received one set with the actual five speakers in it. The second order arrived as one speaker, I thought it was a mix up and called customer service who said no problem and sent another order out. It just arrived as one speaker missing the other four. My home is in the construction phase and I’m on a timeline to get all my electrical out in including these speakers. I’m hoping the next order contains all five speakers as advertised.

Diamond in the rough!
I’m glad I pulled the trigger on these speakers. the sound quality out weighs the price. mids and highs are on point. The low end is satisfying but, if you wanna a little more thump then I suggest pairing the set of speakers with a subwoofer. For me, they are find with out one. If your on the fence believe me you will not be dissapointed!

Great speakers, easy to install except removing and installing the grill back
I’m a general contractor / builder. I decided to use these speakers for my three houses that I’m building. They sound pretty amazing. I was little skeptical due to its low price but I’m glad I bought them. My first install, I was blown away by the sound. Had them installed throughout a 5 stories house. 22 speakers total. It was so I decided to use for the next two new construction house. 6 speakers total. The only down side is putting the grill back! It’s very difficult and time consuming. Especially when you’re on top of a 12′ ladder.

Great speakers…
I am impressed. The sound is very good quality. Ceiling installation is never easy, specially just one person doing all the work. I cut the wholes exactly the same size as the guide, and speakers fit perfectly and tight enough that I did not need hold it with my hand while locking the clamps. Not sure of the quality of the plastic made of, but color and feel is good. Once installed, nothing else matters because sound is great…

You get FIVE 350w speakers
The sound is great. Very satisfied, end of story. That fact I didn’t have to crawl though my attic for installation, gives these speakers absolute top marks. The included template work fine. Tape the template in position. Then draw the cut line around the template. You need to CUT OUTSIDE The cut line by 1/8. Because it is a very tight fit.

Very nice speakers
I bought these to install in my newly built home that came pre-wired for surround sound. They are paired to a Yamaha 1000 watt 5.1 tuner, and sound great! I almost don’t need a sub-woofer . Very easy install with the included template. I did have a bit of difficulty figuring out how to remove the grilles (extend the mounting clamps and push to force the grill out without damaging it), but once I did, install was a snap. Love they had spring-loaded terminals, very easy hookup!

Seriously understated sound and quality performance.
The speakers sound way better than I ever expected. Being an 8″ three-way speaker, there is a great full bass and great highs as well. I have a 5.2 surround sound system and I don’t have my subs yet. I set up my Sony receiver for 5.0 because it was an option and it sounds very full. I may not even bother with a sub for a while. For this price or any, the value and sound performance is greatly underestated. I would recommend to anyone. Build Quality is good too. The only con I would say is that there is no sticky strips to help grilles stay in. I just bent mine out slightly so they would have more pressure in the opening.

I never do reviews but these speakers really deliver. The sound is awesome and easy to install and the price was great I was hesitant on buying them but I’m glad I did. Awesome! Great Sound! Easy to Install!
I am currently making a man cave and I used five of the speaker strategically spaced around the ceiling. Comes with a cut out guide that makes installation with a rotto tool very fast, efficient, and accurate. After you cut the hole, rule the wire, and set the speaker. Be careful trying to remove the cover so that you don’t bend it or scrape of the pain. There is a way to get it off, so be patient and work at it. The sound is amazing.

Well worth it for the money.
Great speakers for the money. I installed three for the fronts but i built a custom box for them. I used two more for taste ceiling surround. Sounds good and install easy. Building the box was time consuming but i had wall studs in the way that would not allow me to install them in the wall.

Bag for buck
I bought 5 for whole home sound system, I have 2 in the garage, 2 on the patio and one in the kitchen. I’m more than happy with them, they sound excellent! I’ll be adding more in the basement and master bath. I haven them paired with the juke audio speaker hub it’s pretty slick

Love these speakers
Love these speakers, they sound great for my use. TIP:: just make sure the hole cut out is large enough so the speaker does not have a tight fit. As soon as the brackets connect to sheetrock stop tightening the screws.( not too tight will ) This will warp the speakers just enough so that the screen cover fits very poorly. I had one that I did not adjust the hole size and kinda forced the speaker in there, then the screen would not go on properly. Made a hole adjustment and everything fit perfect like the other three.

I’d buy them again
These perform incredibly well for the price, I’d have paid more. I used this 5 speaker kit for surround sound with my (5.1ch) receiver. Granted, I don’t really have a comparison.. but this nails every single ask for speakers at this price point.

Great purchase
I am not as person to post reviews however I must say I am pleased with this purchase. Very easy to install. Just move slow and thorough and you wont regret it. I have a receiver elsewhere so my 65 is mounted with no wires or anything. I even opted for wireless hdmi cable for gaming without having to even go behind the tv. anymore.

Big Sound for the money.

My company installs these all the time for our Home Theater packages. Sound better than most of the expensive products plus it saves the customers money. Easy to install and work with most amps. Sounds better with a decent subwoofer.

Great value, awesome performance.
I recently installed these speakers and was pleasantly surprised. I installed high end audio systems for several years, and the low price point initially had me hesitant. The reviews were so great that I decided to take a risk and I am so glad I did. For the average consumer, these speakers will most likely exceed your home audio needs. I paired the speakers with a denon receiver and a decent subwoofer, and I have enjoyed it in every aspect from movies to gaming. I had a minor issue that customer service took care of immediately and the response was very quick. Do yourself a favor and trade in the sound bar for a real surround experience with these speakers.

Very impressive sound even with the price being really reasonable
It really wasn’t too much money for an 8 in ceiling speaker so I wasn’t sure what to expect I installed the first two as my rear surround with 230 Watts going to each one and they sound extremely well they’re very impressive they didn’t distort they have a rich fullness of sound unlike some of the smaller tinny sounding ones. Definitely would recommend.

Great speakers!
I really like the way these sound. In ceiling never have any real bass performance but I lucked out. I installed these in the boxed in recessed lighting housing that spans my kitchen. Wired an amp into the cavity with a Bluetooth receiver and hooked it up to a socket. When the lights are on, the speakers are on. The template they give you with each box is great. I traced it, cut it out with a rotozip, affixed the wires and then placed the speaker into the cavity. Fit like a glove. (Use masking tape or another kind around exposed drywall to prevent it from crumbling/ powdering into the speaker). Tightened the screws down carefully with a drill driver (the wings are plastic, plenty to hold the speaker in but don’t crank em down). I only have 2 installed in my kitchen and that’s PLENTY. These are clean and articulate. The boxing in of the ceiling fixtures may attribute to the bass so I can’t say how they sound in an open air enclosure (like in an attic above a living room etc) but I love how these sound in my space. Looking forward to placing these in more rooms.

Excellent sound, small defect on one speaker
These speakers were installed for 5.2 surround system. In terms of performance I feel they sound good. They seem to project mostly high and mid tones, while bass is almost non-existent. To me that wasn’t a big deal since I use two subwoofers.However, reason for four stars was one speaker came in with dented outer frame. Since the frame was plastic and packaging in good condition, I think the defect happened during manufacturing. I feel this is quality control issue. I already installed 4/5 speakers when I saw the issue, so decided not to attempt to exchange the speakers. Issue did not affect the performance.

You cannot beat these for the price.
I am loving these speakers. They sound absolutely amazing. I originally planned to buy Polk ceiling speakers and was ready to shell out almost a grand for them, and then I saw these on Amazon while researching. The reviews were very good, so I contacted the company because I couldn’t find a manual that I could look at to help me decide. They sent me one immediately. I asked them why they don’t advertise and they told me that they put their money into making the best speaker they can and let word of mouth do the rest. Well, they sold me. I am not a picky audiophile, but I do like my sound system to deliver and these speakers do the job. I already had a Polk subwoofer and combined with these speakers in my man cave, they sound amazing. Tested their limits with songs like YYZ, Tin Pan Alley, Jack of Speed, Get Lucky and, of course, Bohemian Rhapsody. All sounded amazing and hit the individual speakers right where they were supposed to. For movies, the surround was spot on. You may not believe that a sub $200 set of five speakers can deliver like this, but I am here to say that they absolutely do.As for installation, they are light enough (4lbs each) that you do not need a weight distribution bracket for the ceiling tile. Just use the template to set the hole, cut the tile, drop the speaker in and secure the bracket. Took no time at all.

Installed in unfinished basement ceiling

Overall they have decent sound for the cost. I recommend supplementing them with a subwoofer. I got a F12 that really filled out the bass. It was night and day. Great product tho! They were much larger than I expected but it was a pleasant surprise.We’re making our basement look better on a budget without finishing it: Eg. black painted exposed ceiling, recessed rgb led lighting, and of course these speakers. I wanted to paint them black to match our ceiling, it was really easy. Here’s what I did:1. I measured between the floor joists in my basement then I cut five 18.5″x15″ drywall rectangles to rest on top of the i-joist flange. These will hold the speakers.2. Then I routed a 9.5″ hole in the center with a circle jig.3. Flip the drywall over, put the speaker in it, remove the grill by prying it off gently with an awl.4. Put a plastic cover over the cone (I used a cheap 8″ vigoro planter saucer drip tray thing) then spray paint it.5. Remove the speaker, then flip and paint the face of the drywall. Repeat this for all the speakers.6. Paint all the grills.7. Mount the speaker in the drywall rectangle, tighten until you feel resistance then back it out a turn (if you look at the clamps on the back, see that they’re not tightened so much that they’re angled, they should be at a 90° as much as possible if they’re even a little tight it’ll flex the plastic frame and you won’t be able to get the grill on.8. Put the grills on.10. Rest it up in your joists and run your wire.This was a Sunday project for me, it took me about 5 hours from start to thumping beats in my basement but I wasn’t rushing.

Glad I took the chance on these! The reviews are true about this one!
I prewired my new construction home for 14 speakers. I moved in December and since then have been doing tons of research on in-wall / in-ceiling speakers. I was ready to spend about 1.5-2k on more commonly known brand name models (Polk, Boston acoustics, Klipsch, etc..). Then I came across these on Amazon and thought i would gamble with a set of 5 to see how they would sound in my living room. I have 10ft ceilings so i went with 8′ 3-way speakers while using 16 guage speaker wire. Needless to say, this is one of the best, and a bit lucky purchases i have made in a while.My only gripe is installing the cover grill once you have secured the speaker to the wall. The first speaker took me about 1 hour to install, but the rest went by much easier once I got better with the drywall saw and knew the exact size the hole needed to be. Reinstalling the grill cover was a challenge mainly due to the fact that after you have mounted the speaker to the ceiling the plastic frame may have warped ever so slightly. If your hole is too snug it will warp the frame just enough to make the grill hard to fit. So, I grabbed a pair of needle nose pliers and made a crease on the lip of the grill cover (the part that’s folded up that wedges into the housing). I just grabbed about 1/4 inch of the lip and turned about 90 degrees and repeated on 4 sides. this reduces the circumference by some millimeters to make the grill fit in a little easier. Be careful not to twist too much.After install was complete i hooked up my speakers to my onkyo receiver and played some tunes on stereo mode so i can stand below each speaker and was immediately impressed. Good bass, mids and highs. I added a 10″ sub to give the movie effects that added boom factor.Im looking forward to buying the other 9 speakers i need at the fraction of the price of the higher end brands. I will save about 1.5k with these speakers!

Shockingly Good Value
I’m not an audiophile, but I am very impressed by these speakers. Seeing the nearly universal positive reviews, despite the low price, I was skeptical, but after two weeks of use I’d say they’re valid: these speakers may be disappointing to the most discerning of listeners, but I doubt that I could tell the difference were I to have spent substantially more.I’m using five of these, all mounted in a drop ceiling, to complete a 7.1 system. I already had the other two speakers I’m using immediately to the left and right of my TV (some Boston Acoustic bookshelf speakers that cost more than all five of these combined), and a low-end Sony Subwoofer. Accordingly, these are mainly being used as center and surround speakers, and with 5.1-encoded programming, that means they’re mainly used for dialog and effects. I could not be happier with the sound — it’s a major improvement from having just the two stereo speakers, and I have yet to have even a moment wondering if the sound were somehow inferior. Instead, I’m struck by how good they sound, and how immersive the experience has been.In terms of installation, I have a drop-style ceiling in my basement, perhaps as old as the mid 1950s, with each tile being one foot square. I used the included templates to cut appropriate holes into some cheap 1/4″ thick panelling that I bought and cut to replace anywhere between one to four of the existing tiles. With a little shimming and painting, I’m very happy with how it all turned out. And, I’m definitely glad that I went with ceiling speakers for this project; we have three young kids who rage in our basement, and I love that the speakers are all up and out of the way with not visible wires or protrusions to be hit by the occasional flying football!

Good value
I purchased some Monoprice ABS Back enclosures to go with these. I had to shave off the speakers’ support stiffeners in order to get a perfect fit. I used some 1.5” long self tapping screws to attach the speakers to the enclosures. Worked great.With the enclosures attached the speakers were a tight fit in the ceiling holes but went in fine and were easy to secure.

All the good reviews about these speakers are true!! I have a 5.1 sound system and the sound is fantastic! You will not get better speakers at this price point.PS: there was an unusual sound from one of the speakers, and they sent me a new one (basically no questions asked) immediately! After installing the new one , it sounded perfect.

Excellent design, build and sound!
I purchased these to replace some outdoor speakers that while covered under porch did not hold up well and these are suggested to be weather proof. They are of very high quality and well built and the sound is excellent! I have a high end amp and receiver and can crank these all the way up and zero distortion! The spacial sound is excellent being that they are 3 way. A must but if your looking for speakers of this type!

I am not an audiophile, and can’t tell you the difference between a more expensive speaker and this but for me these speakers are great. They sound fantastic, were easy to install and has a great sound range. All for a fraction of the price.

Still impressed
I was very impressed once I got these speakers installed and connected. They can handle a lot of power and sound crystal clear. I installed them in the ceiling in a small room. Turned the volume to max (way louder than you’d ever want to watch any movie) they sounded great. I had to come back because I am still impressed. I am surprised these speakers are still selling so inexpensively. They are somewhere around $28 each which is well worth it for the sound they produce.

Awesome speakers
The install was incredibly easy with the exception of getting the covers back on. I installed 5 today probably spending no more than an hour and a half cutting the holes etc. I just spent half an hour trying to get the cover on. 2 of them were tough, the last was ridiculous.

I got these speakers to utilize the Dolby Atmos feature on my receiver. So far they look and sound great. No issues with the packaging and the delivery time was great. No need to spend extra cash these speakers are just fine for Atmos. They sound great when I play music as well. Very satisfied.WS

Gambled and won…
I’m a long-time home theater junkie and bought these based mostly upon Internet hearsay with very little research. This is incredibly out of character for me, but I was willing to take the risk since this wasn’t intended to be a commonly used viewing or listening area in our new home.I was pleasantly surprised to find out first-hand that not only do these not require a lot of power to drive, but they also sound amazing for the money, as well. This is a great thing for me, too, since we now commonly use this space and the sound isn’t found to be lacking far behind my other, much costlier system. Don’t hesitate to give these a go!

Great deal overall
I finished the ceilings on our two covered patios and wanted some outdoor sound. Since the patios are nicely covered, out of direct sunlight, and well protected from the weather, I went the sleek, in-ceiling route. These turned out to be a great deal (though I would have preferred a 4 pack; I have one extra now).I built a 2ft x 3ft plywood ported enclosure before putting up the ceiling panels to boost the sound quality (kind of an exaggeration – I really just built a simple plywood box between the 2 x 6’s on the roof and left one end open). I ran Amazon Basic’s speaker wire through some conduit and into the house. On the inside of the house, I installed a wall plate with 4 banana plugs (two plates total; one for each pair). The speakers are powered by a Pyle Home Audio Power Amplifier System 2x40W Mini Dual Channel (one for each pair of speakers). The amp has a line in hooked up to a Sonos Connect so I can use the speakers wirelessly with my existing Sonos system.Even with the little amp powering two speakers, sound quality is great for the price. You do miss some of the deep rumbling base (especially outside), but sound quality overall is equivalent to a medium-grade Bluetooth speaker or perhaps a lower-end sound bar.Would highly recommend.

“Awwwww Go Ahead & Take a Chance Already!”
Great sound for the money! Remember to go onto your [TV & your receiver settings] to adjust the gains etc. for each speaker. It unlocked the full potential of the speakers when I did that! Remember to plug your receiver into the HDMI 1 slot to play your game consoles and TV apps through your surround sound; otherwise, only the TV output will play through theses speakers. I am sooo enjoying mine.

Great value for a starter surround system.
I’ve been putting off installing surround sound speakers in my basement because I didn’t want to pay the price for expensive speakers. I’ve been eyeing these speakers for a while and the reviews are actually pretty good, so I decided to give it a try since even low quality surround sound is better than no surround sound. To add to the selling point, I just purchased the Acoustic Audio Subwoofer Amplifier for two other subs and they sound great. The price was the final kicker.After installation, they sounded really good with a Yamaha powered subwoofer that I purchased over 15 years a decade ago in a 5.1 home theater in a box and a fairly new Sony amplifier. I can’t give sound quality 5 stars since I’m not exactly sure what 5 stars sounds like, but I can’t complain right now on my setup especially since I paid less than $500 for everything.The only challenge I had was reattaching the grills. They were somewhat a challenge getting them out since they fit so snug to the speaker. It was almost impossible getting them back in because you have to push them in while perfectly aligning all sides to the inside of the circular speaker.I’d purchase again.

Pleasant Surprise!
I purchased this product last week and installed them a few days ago. I must admit that I was very hesitant at installing ceiling speakers; I had gotten three estimates from a/v professional installers all quoting me thousands of dollars. So after careful research and review, I pulled the trigger on these speakers and man I’m very glad I did. They come with a template for cut outs in ceiling. Word to the wise, invest in a sophisticated stud finder so you don’t mess up like I did. Once you make your cut, dont overtighten the speaker housing too much or it will cause the grill to become difficult to place back in. A lot of customers address this issue. I ran into this issue as well, but if you don’t over tighten the housing it wont make the grill difficult to put back in. Other than that, once hooked up to the Yamaha RX-V683 receiver, they sounded perfect. I imagine you could spend twice as much or even five times as much on name brand speakers, but trust I was plesantly surprised by the sound quality.

Great Value, and very good sound.
What I like about these speakers is the price and they sound pretty darn awesome. I have a Bose set up in the theater room and didn’t want to spend that kind of money for something in the living room. After going through two different sound bars which just don’t produce a very good sound I decided to pick up a cheap little Sony receiver and these speakers. All I can say is I am very impressed with the sound from these speakers, don’t let the price fool you these are legit. I also have them paired with two Polk Audio subwoofers, but to be honest I probably didn’t need the subs at all. I just wanted something that wasn’t going to break the bank and allow me to hear all of the sound you are supposed to hear when watching the television and these do just that. They don’t sound as good as the Bose setup but they aren’t that far off and cost a whole lot less. I would definitely recommend these speakers to anyone looking for a very good sounding speaker and the price point is just a bonus. The only gripe I have is that the face plates are a pain to put back on which is why I did deduct one star.

Amazing speakers for the price!
These speakers are amazing. The first time I used them I thought they were so-so. User error, I had my gains all messed up on my receiver. After dialing everything in Wow! These have great mids and highs. I nstalled them on my first floor where there was no insulation so I added some around the hole. This helps alot with the sound. I got 5 of these and paired with a sub. Sounds Awesome!!!

Very satisfied
These speakers are excellent! Initially I was planning on buying some Polk Audio ones which would have been a significant amount more but I decided I didn’t want to wait and save so I got these instead, and I’m quite happy with them. I had no problem installing them, the included template makes it quite easy. Tip- make you know which way your ceiling trusses run and cut towards them first in case you need to adjust the placement. The sound quality is very good, even at levels that make it somewhat uncomfortable to hear there is minimal distortion. When I have it cranked up I can easily hear it 20-30 ft outside of my house. I have them connected to a Sony STR-DH790. As far as value is concerned, these are probably the best bang you can get for your buck.

Great speakers!
We got a subwoofer for bass. This is speaker is amazing for the price. If you don’t want anything fancy, just enhance the sound when watching movies or listening to music. Get a sub though. This is s winner.
