Exactly what I wanted
I put them up in my theatre room. Amazing sound. The base thumps hard. It’s loud enough to fill up the room but not so loud that you can’t talk to someone in the room. Exactly what I wanted. The speakers are small – also a perfect fit for my needs.

Great system
I have had this for about about 3 months now and it works better than i could have asked for.PROS: Good clean bass that hits the low bass in rap, trap, or dubstep (or pretty much any other genre of music). It has a nice design not overly extravagant and doesn’t work like what i have found to be the case in other systems but simple with a good design. I like that each speaker has a separate volume control. The bluetooth is also solid.CONS: I don’t really have that many cons other than when you turn the volume past 28 (which goes up to 30) the bass starts to be a little boomy i guess you could put it. It isn’t really all that noticeable unless you are an audiophile and i also like to listen to music with bass that can make the world a happier place due to vibrations causing the acceleration of cells to cause some sort of chemical happiness. There is also the RCA jacks length a few of them are short for the room i am using it in but i made it work.Anyways it is a great system probably the best one out there for the price or even a more expensive one for that matter. I would recommend it to everyone. Although if you are looking for bass that neighbors will call the cops on you for this only gets you about half way there.

My outiside halloween sound system !
So I do a huge halloween setup every year and needed a cheap sound system for outside so i can have music and sound effects and Wow, this thing not only gave me the music I needed for the theme, loud , long enough speaker wire so I was able to reach every corner of the front of the house but I also left this outside, cold nights , rain. This thing is durable. Its not foe ourdoor use but I had it out last 4 weeks and its still going strong.

Not for music, maybe for your tv.
I bought these for my record player, you get what you pay for I guess. I will probably sell these at a garage sale, if I could, I would’ve spent a little bit more to get a better quality system. A few points: – Bass speaker is decent – Remote somehow turns on my Sierra brand tower fan??? Not sure if they are the same company, rather annoying. – all 5 Satelitte speakers blew out within minutes, volume at 4 (max).Even strickly using this system for your TV, I would suggest looking elsewhere, the satellite speakers will blowout.

Great sound!
I didn’t see that it came with a remote which is really cool and useful as I suffer from chronic pain so not having to get up to switch listening modes Is nice. The bass is strong, and the Bluetooth has a smooth clear connection. It was easy to set up and easy to use.

WORTH THE UPGRADE!!
I had an old RCA Receiver/surround sound system with 6 wired speakers (since 2009) and still worked…for a while…at higher volumes it would turn off (overload?). I contemplated replacing and even after I purchased this Acoustic Audio system, it sat in the box for over a month because I was intimidated to get it all setup. IT WAS SO EASY!! I wish the cables were a bit longer on the right & left speakers but we made it work. Surprised on the great QUALITY of sound (no static/distortion at higher volume). Very Happy customer! Music and movies sound great!!

Pretty mediocore sound system
Out of the box, the system sucks. All the speakers are oversized, there is a plastic film on the speakers that are not attached well and meant to be thrown away; idk why they can’t just use that plastic to properly cover the speakers so it may last longer.Installation is easy but then you quickly notice how bad it is. The overall sound quality is bad, bass is fine, but then I keep getting interference. Probably because the RCA to 3.5 cable sucks really bad. Oh and they only send you ONE RCA to 3.5 jack cable, meaning you cannot use the 5.1 surround sound out of the box.I hope to fix it by getting more cables, as well as finding and using my out speakers so it fits on my desktop.

It is lightweight plastic and does not feel like it would take much abuse
I only gave this 4 stars for one major reason. The unit is difficult to understand how to use at first. It took me nearly 2 hours to figure out how to get it off of 2.1 and on to 5.1 surround, and it is difficult to adjust anything without the remote control (which I hear is very difficult to replace if not impossible). The remote is very cheaply made too. It is lightweight plastic and does not feel like it would take much abuse, so I will be keeping mine in a very safe place and guarding it well. However after all the hassle was over, and I finally had the speakers all working, the sound was amazing. I am a picky person who hears high frequency noises. Crappy speakers really annoy me. But these speakers deliver a clean crisp sound. I am thrilled! I can finally watch movie streams without straining to hear them like I have with my TV speakers and computer speakers. Well worth the price! No annoying squeaks or squeals. I am very happy.

Only review you need to read
being a audio nut with head phones, home theater and, automotive audio I never went away from the cheep 30 dollar computer audio set. decided to upgrade as I am spending more time at the PC these day’s.Do not let what I’m about to type make you think this is a quiet system!Audio is crystal clear till you get to to around 3/4 volume though for price was expecting it to be 1/2 volume before distortion. That being said I would bet this system get’s louder than most modern factory car premium sound systems when tested with a decibel meter before distortion.remote is not blue tooth give 4 of 5 stars for thissystem volume max is 30 however 18-20 is distortion level 4 of 5 stars for this ( fix 20 is new 30 and give more control to clear volume level )No included 5.1 connector for a PC or any 3.5mm jack only the 2.0 most PC have a 5.1 jack. 3 of 5 stars for this as not a single connector for 5.1 included.the system does modulate / simulate 5.1 from a 2.0 jack but not true 5.1with all that being said I am likely to buy another set for the new garage for the cheep or 2 and split the left right between the sets as the system does have zone control and bluetooth connection and volume can be changed on device vs remote.Side note this is not one of those systems that say’s it has a sub and does but does not sound like it. This system does have clear and close to true tone bass from low volume level to the 3/4 ish distortion level. bass down low is not lost or overly loud but there from bass guitar to kicker peddle.Hope this helps someone make up there mind and is not lost among all the reviews

Good for the price
At under $100, it would be hard to fine something better. I got a refurb unit thinking it might be good for an outdoor movie night — and it worked well for that purpose. Easy to hook up, decent volume, plenty of bass for the “theatrical” sound effects. The remote allowed for a bit of fine tuning to adjust various speaker volumes.Mine didn’t come with any directions, but I was able to find and download them quickly from the manufacturer’s website. The box the unit it came in was really beat up, but everything was packed well enough that none of the pieces were damaged.I had to spend a little extra money (about $15) to get some RCA Adapter Female to Female Coupler-Extenders, and some longer cables. I could have spliced them myself, but I didn’t want to work that hard at it! The included cables are pretty short, and hardwired into the individual speakers—I knew that when I ordered it, so there was no disappointment there.Take some care with this unit, it is built inexpensively—and it looks like it could be damaged easily. Not sure if I’d buy it again – I think getting something with an HDMI input/passthrough or and optical audio or digital audio input would be worth spending a few extra bucks for. Some tone controls would also be good — the unit is very bright sounding, I’d like to be able to dial that down and bring up the midrange a bit. I also wish I could get the smaller speakers a little louder (the subwoofer volume is great for us).All and all, I’m fairly pleased with this purchase. We’re going to do some more out “socially distanced movie nights” for our neighborhood friends. If it gets us through the pandemic, I’ll be satisfied.

Decent for a small bedroom! Gotta add tweeters for a full range of frequencies!!
Update: Great value for $, but has no tweeters and this high range is poor. Sounds flat and even an EQ doesn’t fix that. Needs a few tweeters!! Otherwise is solid and bass sounds great! Will break up if turned up too loud, distorts alot. But hey that loud will injur yur ears over time anyways lol!Update 1/3/21 -. I added $5 set of 1 inch dome tweeters – bought them on the bay – and wired them directly into the front left/right and let me tell you what — HECK YES BATMAN that really woke things up a lot!!! Finally have full range of frequencies! Not sure if internal amp will support a couple more on the surround or center channels, I think so, but even if not – the whole system is now so much more audible and alive, TV voices and all! This is the way to go for sure it took me 10mins tops. Also have the Rockville HS (45 & 56) 5.1 systems and definitely going to try adding sets of these tweeters to those systems as they suffer from same issues — satellites are all single or double mid-range speakers with NO tweeters whatsoever = dum and/or cheap of course. But hey $5 for a pair or $9 for four of these tweeters and it’s all rock n’ roll from there, finally I’m pleased and satisfied and glad I didn’t blow $1000’s on high fidelity systems when completely unnecssary!! Still 4 stars as I had to add my own tweets but hey at least the system can handle it; wouldn’t have expected that! 🙂

Bluetooth has a huge delay in sound
The media could not be loaded.
Idk if I can even keep these the delay in sound is like 3 seconds off 😒 the sound is great but that being said makes it even harder to accept them because of the huge delay. I know it’s not wifi because I have a playstation hooked up to it playing offline. Too bad I just wish these worked. All of my streaming devices as well have not been in sync. Why people can even get away with selling things like this ripping off people who work hard for what they have is beyond me. Your product shouldn’t be on the market if it’s defective.

Bluetooth speaker system with a built-in amplifier!
Great speaker system for a medium sized room. Gone are the days where you need to get a separate amplifier and speakers and connect them together. The subwoofer has a built-in amplifier to which the rest of the 5 speakers connect through wires. The subwoofer connects through wired as well as through Bluetooth to the audio source. Connecting this to an Oled LG TV was a breeze. The remote needs to be held in direct view of the subwoofer in order for it to function properly. Does not come with batteries and you will have to add them, after which you’ll have to press the standby button on it to turn on the system. Some controls are also on the subwoofer but don’t waste your time figuring it out. My review should help many who are wondering how the whole thing works before contemplating of buying one.

Adjust the volume levels and it works fine. Otherwise there will be crackling with rca tv and gaming. I love them.
The thing about reviews is not to accept the bad ones versus accepting the good one. I made this mistake and probably passed up good items. Personally i go with how many of each. As for these speakers there is a trick. With the ipad music it worked great. Amazing even. With the tv and ps4 it started to crackle which was starting to transfer over to playing music. I was going to return then and then tried this; keep the volume low and adjust the different speakers. I did the center high, front middle and surround middle. While adjusting the sub depending. Now they dont crackle with the tv and the sound still sounds great. For 90 bucks this is a steal, unless you dont want to risk crackling because you dont want to mess with the different volumes. Which is understandable though thats more expensive. I also bought some amazon basic cords instead of the cords that came with it. They might just be more insulated, look and feel better (they are like thick rubber) but i think they are great. Oh, and they are different loooking and a little smaller than the picture but i hear thats how speakers are now a days. Still amazing for the price by far.I reccomend these though be careful with the volume adjustments when gaming or tv, the little speakers especcially the outside ones cant handle as much volume.

Outstanding value for the money
This is an excellent surround sound system for my home projector / CD player / bluetooth phone and the price is very affordable. The sound quality is very good and the speakers are lightweight for mounting on the wall. I would have liked hanging hardware on the backs of the speakers, but that was easy to add later. The remote control makes it easy to adjust the balance between front / rear / center / subwoofer speakers as well as selecting the input for the system. Customer service is outstanding! I had a question about some minor distortion that was present for a few minutes until the system warmed up, and the team at Goldwood Audio was very responsive and sent a replacement unit to me. I would definitely do business with them again!

(great bass response) update; died after 18 months
the main feature of these speakers are not only the color and sound but the bass response the dedicated 5.5 in sub has excellent bass response better then some 12 in. home theatre subs. i bought 1 set of these at first to test if the sound was of good enough quality to be used as a support for two krk rokit 5 in. studio monitors, because the speakers would roughly match in color witch they kinda do its gives an overall good appearance to my setup.the plan was to use this with a startech 7.1 card to achieve true 7.1 but the card failed and im looking at a soundblaster x2 for that solutioni already had a native instruments komplete audio 6 sound card so i hooked it up to the headphone jack and the result is very very nice sound with independent adjustable controls on every speaker so i went ahead and bought another set of these and i plan on purchasing another two sets and some rockville 10′ yellow speakers to complete my full home theatre/ recording studio reference system. after everything is said and done there will be 7 dedciated subs pointing i 5 diferent directions.(update: speakers are not mountable and the 5.1 chip has died after 18 months,)

TL;DR: Great sound; it even makes old records sound nice! Get discrete 5.1 sound with a decoder
I try not to write reviews of products until a few months later, but I’m so enamored with this system! I hope I’m not jumping the gun. If it stops working, i’ll revise this review lol! This is my second Acoustic Audio purchase. The first came almost 3 years to the day earlier, buying the AA5150. Despite the previous system continuing to work, I wanted an upgrade and I chose this one based on the price. First, it looks really cool; I love the black and silver speakers! But more importantly, it sounds really good! I have not experienced any interference or static or any unwanted sounds when playing. I have my cheap record player hooked up to it and I was blown away by how clear it sounded!Granted, I’m not an audiophile, but this system for my small bedroom is really great! The complaints from the previous model I had was that it would not remember your volume settings. Every time you turn the system off, it would reset itself. To my surprise, that’s not the case here! The volume settings remain the same way you left them! What did surprise me, however, is that the satellite speakers don’t have holes in the back to hang them onto the walls (but 3M Command Strips work perfectly for that). As far as surround sound goes, it won’t be discrete unless you have an audio decoder. The one I use is the HD Audio Rush device. I’ve had it for three years and it still works wonders! By implementing that, my TV, Amazon Fire stick and PS4 all produce proper 5.1 surround sound. As of now, I have no complaints about this system! It far surpassed my expectations! The sound is clear and loud, and the surround sound enhances my movie and TV watching, as well as videogame playing, experiences!

Don’t underestimate these speakers: they are cheap, but surprisingly good.
For 120 bucks I don’t expect much, but these speakers have surprised me. Sound quality is solid and bass is very decent even over bluetooth, and I have a pile of Sennheiser and expensive AudioTechnica headphones to compare with. Bluetooth just works: it paired flawlessly to my Android phone and I played some youtube video on the speakers, and it paired to my Ubuntu laptop (after I’d restarted the bluetooth service). Pairing works a lot like pairing to your car audio: you turn on bluetooth on your phone, select the speakers and audio plays there. The bluetooth channel works so well that you can use the remote control to change audio tracks: the command gets sent to my laptop and VLC player does change the track. That’s surprisingly polished experience. The downside is that bluetooth channel is only between your audio source and the subwoofer: the other 5 speakers have to be connected with wires to the subwoofer. Still, you can put them in your living room, hide the wires in bookshelves, and transmit audio over bluetooth from another room.

Great product and company.
We bought this in 2019 and it does a great job creating rich sound for the TV and Bluetooth devices. We lost the remote and thought that was it. I pulled up my 4 year old order on the app and contacted Goldwood describing my situation. They responded quickly and gave me the tracking number for our new remote! So impressed.

Sound System Worthy of 8th Circle of Hell
I think this may be my first review on Amazon. So up until this point nothing has ever angered me enough to the point of writing a review.Let me start off by saying, I enjoyed these speakers the first month or so when I had them. Pretty good sound. The option to switch from 2.1 to 5.1 with a push of a button. I mean the remote is fantastic, when it works. However, after that month was up, they started making this shrill noise. It’s like a Tinnitus simulation. Or it sounds like they’re picking up sound waves from another dimension. Absolutely terrible. The sub makes a constant tapping noise. Not sure what causes it, and if it’s not tapping the standby light on the front will make the speaker plus the sub emit this low tone. Are people trying to contact me through morse code? Who knows?! Any movie or music that is playing constantly gets interuppted by these sounds. Really, it can be a combination of all of them (minus the standby one) I think these speakers were not wired correctly or not grounded properly. Also, the front left speaker blew out recently for no reason. I’m not really the kind of person to crank the volume to 11, or in this case 30. So I’m not sure of the cause of the blowout.I bought these mostly for the Bluetooth feature, and for the fact I really didn’t want to be wearing headphones 24/7. Bluetooth connectivity is subpar at its best. Randomly, sound will cut out, or more noise distortions. These distortions are different, they are like muffled sounds like when you haven’t plugged in your aux cord all the way. This is all happening with my phone being only feet away from the sub. It even happened with my phone resting on the sub.I feel cheated after buying these. The Amazon return policy was up right before all these troubles started happening. This was one of the few purchases that I whole heartily regret on Amazon. If you’re in the market for speakers, you might as well just spend the extra couple hundred and get good quality speakers. I’m now saying this now because I’m at the point of just throwing these speakers away, due to the reasons I stated above. I just can’t take these terrible noises anymore. So if you’re planning on buying these, you might as well just toss a hundred bucks into the trash.

Awesome value for the price.
To those complaining about the volume. Maybe it has more to do with your TV and not the surround system itself. Firstly, the speakers are not wireless. They must be plugged into the back of the subwoofer unit. Secondly, you can hook it up via a Bluetooth Wireless Audio Transmitter like I did or you can opt for the regular red and white RCA jacks.I have a 65 inch RCA Roku TV. Most newer tv’s have an audio jack and you just plug the Bluetooth Wireless Audio Transmitter(sold separately eleswhere) 3.5mm audio jack into the headphone jack on the TV. The system will beep twice and it will be paired. On my TV I can raise the volume up to 100 bypassing the 30db surround sound system limit by using the TV Remote. It’s extremely easy to set the volume for each speaker including the subwoofer. The sound quality is excellent when done this way, otherwise it will continue to remain too low.The only disappointment I have with this purchase is that all of the other speakers must be plugged in and are not truly wireless.

These speakers is what’s up!!
I’m telling everyone right now!! These bad boys will thump!! They sound good all together…..i set up these speakers up for my brother-n-law in his sitting room closet that has sliding doors……there are three shelves in the closet….five speakers…plus the woofer….the woofer was on the floor….the front two speakers on the first shelf….rear two speakers on the second shelf and the center speaker on the third shelf…..and the speakers are spread out……i tell you the music sounds good!! The size of a room makes a different for bass and sound…..i put it in the closet because it can be close out with the doors shut gives the speakers a good sound in the room the closet is in and the rest of the house…..nice size house also…..the bass roll can be felt on the walls and corners in rooms give a bass roll……the remote is a hard thing to work….at least on mines….theres buttons to operate the speakers such as surround and woofer…..also a 5 and half channel button that controls the speakers to give sounds with some of the speakers off…..when you press any buttons …you have to pay attention to the woofer with digital display to see a change in the screen to see if the buttons your pushing is actually working……also when hitting the 5 and half button…..listen to all the speakers to see if sounds are coming out…..if not….you know that button worked…..so look at the screen on woofer to see if remote is working……

Not worth the press board it’s made of…
I read a bunch of reviews before making this purchase and I’m scratching my head after having opened this item. Two words, “Fisher Price”. For those of you who do not know what that means, search it. I believe they are a TOY manufacturer. This surround sound system, if you could even call it that, is a toy. The speakers have no mounting holes or attachments, the flimsy “speaker wire” comes out of a tiny hole in the back of each speaker, so it’s not even removable to add REAL speaker wire, and they are made of what looks like press wood. I purchased the item used to see if the reviews could possibly be accurate and to save a few dollars. Not only was this a waste of my time and money, they did not even have the courtesy to CLEAN the thing up first before shipping it out to a new customer. It was disgusting, with dust and what looked like food finger prints all over it. (that one is on Amazon, not the person who returned it, although, I can’t imagine how someone could return something in such condition and be okay with it. I guess some people just don’t care and have no shame). And, then we have the condition the item is in,… Scratches, on some of the speaker cones, corners mashed in like it was dropped, and corner seems that look like they were glued together by someone who had their eyes closed while doing so. The wires were wound around each speaker carelessly and stuffed back in the original damaged box with the crumbling styrofoam and bits of it stuck to the speakers. And then there is the sound quality… After having attempted to place the speaker far enough away in the proper locations for a true surround sound, I had to climb over the wires that were like a boobytrap across my living room because they are so short, plugged everything in and turned it on. There was not much of a difference from the TV speakers to the “surround sound” system. Weak. Waste of time and money. Suffice it to say, I will be returning this horrible device after having thoroughly cleaned it, (you’re welcome Amazon), and I think my days of shopping for this type of device on Amazon are over. On to Costco…Disgusted.

3 month review
For the price this is a really good speaker system but it definitely has a few flaws:1) durability- over the past three months i haven’t moved the system or the surround speakers. Somehow the individual surround speakers are dying one by one. They just don’t play anything now but the others work fine.2) Static- If you listen to music that isn’t very loud or heavy on the bass, you can hear an annoying loud static underneath the music. There have been times it was so bad that I had to turn off my music and just throw in headphones instead.3) remote- I saw reviews saying don’t lose the remote, you can’t buy another. I trusted myself not to lose the tiny thing but I did. Luckily it controls the volume on each individual speaker and I already had them set up where i wanted them so it wasn’t a big deal for me. Something to keep in mind though. The sound quality is pretty good but the worst thing has to be the static. Trust me, it can be horrible at times.

It needs specific bluetooth devices. Unknown which devices.
I have 3 different bluetooth devices for music. None of them work with this.

You get what you pay for
Let’s be honest we are looking at this product hoping it’s to good to be true and honestly I would believe that if I knew nothing of sound products. This product would have be absolutely amazing in 2012 but in the world we live in today this is seriously outdated. The materials used are very cheap as well so if you have small ones around I would recommend against this product because of the long cords and how easy they are to break as I have already had two speakers go out just on normal every day use over the course of about a year and a half. I gave this to my parents as a gift and for them it’s good I can’t lie, but for anyone who is genuinely looking for a quality sound system LOOK ELSEWHERE there are a lot of good sound bars for this price and would do much better then this I promise.

Radio Interference Renders This Unusable
Setup was a breeze and the speakers actually had some great volume to them, however, the overarching problem with this system is that, despite being advertised as magnetically shielded speakers, the system still picked up basic radio interference from a specific radio station in my area. So, no matter what channel the system was set to- no matter if set to Bluetooth or Aux, I was forced to listen to country music *alongside* whatever I was normally listening to. When listening over Bluetooth, Garth Brooks was crooning alongside the Chopin I was trying to play from my phone to test the BT feature, resulting in a cacophonous mess that I really wouldn’t recommend to anyone.I was playing Mario Kart, and every every single race I was hearing the low twang of country music alongside the quieter victory music of the game, itself. Persona 5 is nowhere near as stylish when I think it was called, “Small Town Saturday Night” is playing *just barely loud enough* that you can hear it alongside the game’s soundtrack. The country music played any time the system was receiving power- even when placed in standby with the remote (which makes sense since it’s radio interference on what I am assuming is the unshielded cables). The only ways to make the country stop were to get up and turn it off by the switch at the back or unplug it. If you’re really interested in trying this system, perhaps try it with some ferrite clamps to reduce interference to the speakers. Also, the rear speakers have a pretty short cord so they won’t suitably encompass a living room. I just went out a purchased an RCA Home Theater Receiver system from my local Walmart to use instead of something that will force me to listen to country music at all times of operation.Bottom line:+ Decent sound for a low price+ Remote and Bluetooth features worked well- Radio interference makes this system unusable- this is most likely the cause of the buzzing that other people have experienced in other reviews for this product. The one I bought may not have been properly shielded, but that’s quite the oversight to make.

Decent System…So Far…
I had the Logitech z506 system and they were alright, but I decided it was time for an upgrade. (Z506=$60) I was looking for a bit more of a powerful system when I stumbled upon the Logitech z906 system which was listed at $350. I was also lead to this system which was $90 at the time of purchase. The z906 had 1000 watts while this system is listed with 700, I thought it was a steal so I went for it and I haven’t looked back since. Anyway I’ve read the bad reviews about how it stops working and how only the 2 front speakers work but those reviews are from people who can’t take the time to understand how a system like this works. First off let me address only the two speakers working, there is a button on the remote that says “2.1/5.1” this basically toggles either the two front speakers to work or all the speakers to work. Second of all I’ve had no issues with anything “failing to work” so far at least. But after reading the reviews I was fearful enough to purchase a 3 year protection plan for about 7 ish dollars. “Just to play it safe” but only time will tell I’ve only had the speakers for about 4 days. And I highly recommend it.

Cheap easy 5.1, won’t blow you away, but…
Bought these for a cheap easy way to set up my home editing studio with surround sound. They work great and were easy to set up. Getting the balance between the speakers, volume-wise was a little tricky and you cannot do individual speakers (the front L and R adjust together, as do the Rear L and R. The center and sub are independent though.)As for sound quality, they’re not amazing, but I didn’t expect amazing at the price. The sub has some power to it and can get a little muddy. The 5 satellite speakers are technically full range (I did a tone sweep) but they are very mid to high-mid responsive. I was a little worried when I had some low frequency stuff going to them as they seem to pop a bit, but they didn’t bust up which is a plus.Overall, for a cheap easy 5.1 in a small to medium size space, the price is great. They won’t blow you away, but you can’t expect that for how much they cost.

Great for its price.
Sounds pretty good, some of the wires are kind of short, especially for the front speakers. And it is awkward having a center speaker that is the same size as the left, right, and rear speakers. But I like it. I will not return it.

Pretty great for beginner speakers.
I bought this speaker set up in 2017, here I am in 2021 and they still sound spectacular to me. I use them mostly for music on my PC set up. The bass can get overwhelming while watching movies(especially scary or action movies) but you can just tune it down using your sound settings on your computer. Keep the dust off the speakers and you should have yourself a good long lasting set.You can’t change the wires on the speakers and there are no mounting slots on the boxes. So this is strictly for someone who wants pretty great sound, quick set up and forget.

A great sound system for the value
I was looking for a nice surround sound system to stream music in my NYC apartment. I have a lot of street noise, etc. so wanted something which could fill the entire room with sound nicely. I even downloaded a white noise app to my tablet, and this thing let’s me sleep in the rain forest every night 🙂 This system has met and exceeded my expectations. It’s very user friendly, has multiple audio inputs for all my devices (TV, digital piano, tablet, etc.). The Bluetooth connection does skip sometimes, perhaps a result of my internet connection? Overall, this system is great and puts out some good sound for my studio apartment. The speaker cables aren’t the longest, so depending on your room size be prepared to buy extension cables. Also, the recommended cable and plugs that I purchased did not fit the RCA inputs so be sure to verify that you are purchasing the correct extension pieces. Other than that, I am very happy with my purchase.

you get what you pay for
These speakers are compared with $200 plus systems. There is a reason they are so cheap. I bought these to put in every corner of my basement. So far, they are working. When I start up the system, the first couple songs sound like absolute garbage. Apparently the system warms up? After that it sounds really nice. The wire it comes with is tiny. There is also sound adjustment on the speakers, this helps a little with the distorted sound, but not really.Overall, once the speakers “warm up” the sound quality is what I expected from a cheap system. It’s not great, but it’s pretty good. The sub has PLENTY of base. I can’t be mad about this purchase when it saves me hundreds of dollars. Assuming it works for years to come, this is a good budget system.

Louder than expected, but that is good
I buy 5.1 sound systems from Amazon often, they all advertise high wattage but are normally under 100 watts, that doesn’t bother me since I won’t need that power. This is the loudest one I have ever gotten, may actually be 700 watts, volume goes to 30 but I use it on 2 and it is just as loud as my old system was at 20+. Thought about buying another for another room

This speaker system has some power to it. I was impressed!
I had my eye on this for a little over a year, but finally made the plunge when I needed to have something for a party that required music. I bought this really focused on having something with a good amount of power. I read some reviews on here for these speakers and some were good, some where bad, so ultimately this comes down to personal opinion. The speakers arrive in a nice box. As I opened the package, my first thought was “these speakers seem a little small. I’m not sure that these will be loud enough.” I plugged in just the sub/receiver and the center speaker and had the volume at 15 (30 is the max) and I was shocked at how loud it was. I took it up to 30 and my roommates and neighbors were a little concerned about the noise – again, only the sub and center speaker – I hadn’t even plugged in the remaining 4 speakers. The bass from the sub is amazing!I haven’t had the time to test all the speakers connected, but I’ll update this review in a few days.UPDATE (After a few days later)I am still really impressed with these speakers! I managed to do a sound test at a friend’s house that has a big backyard, this time connecting all 5 speakers. This little set did an impressive job by my standards. My friend was equally impressed with the audio. The controls seem basic, but provide means for controlling volume for the surround speakers individually from the front speakers, the sub, etc – that’s nice to be able to adjust the speaker zone volumes.I actually ended up buying two because I was a little concerned that I might not have enough sound from this system for an outdoor venue, but one was enough. Nonetheless, I did a sound test of both simultaneously using a 3.5 mm y splitter to an aux source and the sound was impeccable. No delays, no issues, no regrets at all. I’m keeping the secondary unit; the price is too much of a bargain. My apologies in advance to my neighbors.Would I recommend this system – Absolutely!

Love the sounds these speakers put out.
Acoustic Audio AA5170 Home Theater 5.1 Bluetooth Speaker System 700W with Powered Sub is exactly what I needed for the sound that I wanted. The factory customer service was excellent. I was having a bit of trouble, so I called them and they solved the problem I was having. Love this product.

With a couple extra cables so far working great in my PC sound card
I had a set of Logitech Z506 5.1 speakers for my gaming PC for like 10+ years. They were, as far as I can tell, the only easy plug and play 5.1 speakers designed specifically for PC sound cards, coming with easy green/orange/black plugs you just inserted into the subwoofer and the sound card in the corresponding color slots. Unfortunately Logitech stopped making them and didn’t introduce any PC-specific replacement. So when my Z506’s finally went bad and started making a constant buzzing noise, I was at a loss on what to do. There are apparently no 5.1 speakers with a similary easy plug and play connection set up for PC’s, so I nearly paid $300+ for a used set up Z506’s before deciding to try these at only $115.At first I thought I’d made a mistake and these wouldn’t work with my PC. There are 3 pairs of inserts on the subwoofer taking white/red plugs for front left/front right, rear left/rear right, and center/sub, but there was only one plug in the box for these speakers with the red/white pairing on one end and 3.5mm on the other. I had no idea if that would work with my sound card (I’m good with PC software and familiar with the specs and comps for PC components, but pretty lost with the nitty gritty technicals of the hardware). I think I stuck it in center/sub at first and got no sound, so I figured it wouldn’t work. But then I was able to get front left/front right in that plug. So I ordered two ‘Amazon Basics 3.5mm to 2-Male RCA Adapter Audio Stereo Cable’ (which you will have to buy a version of to use this with a 5.1 PC sound card). Plugged those in and despaired when at first they gave me no sound from the associated speaker pairs. So I went thru the short instructions in the speaker box and saw the remote — and only the remote, nothing controlling this on the unit itself) — has a button among the very many buttons to choose 2.1 or 5.1 sound. Another shopping trip to scrounge up some AAA batteries to get the remote running, hit the ‘5.1/2.1’ button, and praise the Lord, surround sound. So kind of a scary process for someone not knowledgable about speaker hardware tech involving multiple steps — pretty darn annoying that everything needed wasn’t included with the speaker purchase — but ultimately success, and at first impression I’m quite pleased with the performance for the low price. Sound wise, they seem quite good, an upgrade from my old Logitech’s, but crap are they excessively loud. Overall speaker volume at 4/max 30 and my PC system volume at around 60% is about as loud as I want my PC sound to get to, and I had to put the subwoofer separately down to 2 to avoid shaking my apartment walls and unduly disturbing my neighbors. Since these are not designed specifically for PC’s it’s a negative relative to the Logitech’s that all the speakers are the same size (about 1.5-2x bigger than the Logitech’s), meaning the center isn’t designed to lie sideways below the monitor. But it just barely fits turned on its side, and seems to perform normally in that position.

Nice system
Well I bought this system you still have to buy a converter this is an update from when I bought it I took it to a stereo shop and some kind of little component was not coming on it was stuck in like two five mode instead of surround and once they got it turned on it’s got a lot of power could use some more still have to buy a converter to make it hook up to your TV the Bluetooth was messed up on it they fixed that and now it seems to work really good got a hell of a lot of bass kind of impressed so this is an update and they said it was a factory screw up don’t happen all the time but with my luck it happened to me and it was cheaper to take it fixed have it fixed then it was to try to ship it all back so all in all not a bad system once everything works

NOT 5.1 Surround Sound! – DUPED
So i but this on amazon, based on other reviews and stars and such.. and rarely do i get something where i feel duped, but there’s a first time for everything. So here you go Acoustic Audio 5.liar.I get this delivered, unpack, the thing looks great. Take pictures and share with a friend or two. Ive never owned a 5.1 speaker system of any kind. So I get it all out of the wrapping, and undo each twisty tie. I was measuring how far away I can put them. So i find 3 speakers have a shorter cable, so look first 😉 . I get them all placed, i plug it in, fire it up by flipping the switch on the back of the sub woofer. I hear it hum a little, thinking.. YES! I read the manual, go through the remote steps.. and ive got independent control of the rears, fronts, and center, SUPER YES! I pair it up with bluetooth, turn on an old Karnivool album and start going around my speakers. Its sounding meaty! and then i had my Led Zeppelin moment. I have the thought “how about i open up adobe audition and really test out the 5.1~ness of the new deployed beauty! (adobe audition is adobe’s version of Pro tools for audio mixing and mastering). I’ve never made a 5.1 mix before, but heh, how about that.. a 2:30 second video called “Dolby 5.1 Surround Sound In Adobe Audition CC”.. followed by ” wow, its really that easy?”. Go through the steps, my track is made, its 5.1 i know how to pan the sound around.. and like a balloon losing air, the realization of what i bought started. I panned around and i realized, i had no back speakers. Weird. .. try something else, nothing, play something i knew was in 5.1 to test it. ” huh, it didnt hear it move around speaker to speaker. Definitely not in a circle. Something isnt right.” I start approaching it from a technical. ” i wonder about this bluetooth adapter? This system doesnt have optical input, so is it 5.1 ONLY over bluetooth?” I jog over to amazon like i usually do, and look up my usb -> bluetooth adapter. I got this one pretty cheap, so it could be a likely suspect. I gaze upon my “Kinivo BTD-400 USB Bluetooth Adapter for PC” and i see “4.0”. Could there be a 5.1 blueooth or something? I’m sure amazon can tell me. clack clack into the search bar and i find bluetooth 5.0 but no 5.1. A dead end? well wait a minute. Google – tell me – “true surround sound over bluetooth”. And like a baby bird being kicked out of the mothers nest, i got a boot right to the rear! “Bluetooth won’t support 5.1. Just stereo. Then your receiver has to emulate 5.1.” That’s my silver bullet. Thats whats going on. I have independent volume control of REARS / FRONTS / CENTER / SUB. But im not getting REAL 5.1 surround. The Hindenburg crashes to the ground, its over, they got me. I got duped. I immediately start my return process, and it hit me. ” wait, it SAID 5.1 right?” I look back,” huh, it totally says 5.1. But thats not true. How can you sell a 5.1 surround sound bluetooth item when its NOT 5.1!” Its a stereo signal to the device. Not 5.1. its 2.0!I’m returning via Kohls (which is super easy btw amazon, smart move) and stop looking for a bluetooth solution for 5.1 ITS NOT POSSIBLE! The title is completely false. Really it should be.”Acoustic Audio AA5171 2.0 /(emulated 5.1) Surround Sound Bluetooth Home Entertainment System”First time for everything.

Some good things, some bad.
There are things I like about this and there are things I hate about this. He are the things I like: it has decent sound. The bass can be a bit boomy, but it sounds excellent at low volumes. I live in an apartment so I haven’t had the opportunity to see how loud it can get. The FM radio receiver is decent, Bluetooth works as it should. Auxiliary works fine. Haven’t tried the SD card or USB ports. Remote works fine. The functionality has something left to be desired. Here is what I don’t like. The speaker cable is permanently attached to the speakers. If at anytime, I should get a short in the cord or my cat decides to chew through it, I will have to splice the cord. Also, the cord is a very small guage and the ends are RCA connectors. I was almost okay with the ends being RCA, but but had I known the other end was permanently attached, I may have chosen a different set of speakers. Plus, the cords are not nearly long enough for my average-sized living room. Another issue I had was the volume resets every time you turn it off. I don’t know if that happens to everybody else’s or if it’s unique to my speakers. Let’s say I turn it on and it’s on 18. I turn it down to a reasonable level like 14. Then I reduce the bass volume to 12 so as to not disturb my neighbors. Later, when I want to listen to my tunes, the volume and bass levels are back to 18, which is blaring at 5am.Aside from that, the speakers look sharp and sound pretty good. Not audiophile standards, but feasible enough for an action movie or some tunes.UPDATE: I have had this for about 6 months now. I still feel the same. The issues I have with this are, I have to reset the volume, speaker levels and prologic mode everytime I change sources and the surround isn’t good. I don’t remember prologic surround sounding this muddled. There is little separation between speakers. You are better off with a 5.1 or 7.1 system. And my biggest pet peeve: the SD card doesn’t go all the way in. It sticks out leaving it vulnerable to breakage. Not a huge deal, but it annoys me. Aside from that, it still works.

For a reasonable price, this is a good budget system. Sound is realy suprising coming from these small speakers.
I crossed my fingers when I ordered this. The name I have not heard of. Although there is a lot of that out on market now. Not like old days.I had, from amazon, a Sony book shelf 2.1 CD/USB/FM unit. Have this setup in my study, small compact. It lasted about a year before the cd drive died. So much for name brands. I am still a little old school, as I don’t mine loading a cd on a player. I use a USB also, (new age stuff), very cool. Still wanting to use my cd collection and wanting to go cheep, I went to goodwill and bought a pioneer cd player for 7 bucks (real nice multi disk). After making sure cd player was good to go, on my home (big) system, I had to decide on a power and speakers source. So to go with a receiver and speakers, or a powered surround sound setup to keep things still in a somewhat small package. This has, “so far” fingers still crossed, been a good choice for me. It has plenty of power “watts to go” and with what seems to be a good cd player matched with this units built in USB I have all kinds of music choices. The remote works fine for me and the FM radio works well, although my main use will be to play my music. The only thing is those darn speaker wires, but I have been dealing with wires all my life, so a little longer will be okay for me. good luck to all. Oh! you can connect this to a TV also for those who want too.

Acoustic Audio AA5172 700W Bluetooth Home Theater 5.1 Speaker System with FM Tuner
I was waiting a bit to review these just to be on the safe side. These speakers are awesome. They are easy to set up once you order the 3.5mm audio to rca plugs. It’s a shame the inputs were not 3.5mm audio jacks. After that little struggle, setting up the speakers were a breeze. Haven’t had the volume about 7 and it was super loud. The wife even remarked how she could hear all the speakers. She has an expensive Logitech speaker system and in my mind these are better. I am hard of hearing, so take that with a grain of salt. I do love these speakers tho. They are small enough to fit 3 of them on my desk.

Decent Budget Speakers
I’ve owned the 2.1 version of this system for about a year and a half now for my PC and it’s been a solid system for how I use it. After a recent TV upgrade I decided to try and get a 5.1 setup on a budget. For the price range these are in, the sound is acceptable in terms of both volume and quality in my personal opinion. I wouldn’t quite call myself an audiophile though, just like to have a bit more than a tv provides by itself. At the moment I’ve only got it configured as a 2.1 setup until I can get my wall mounts for the surround speakers (definitely should’ve planned better BEFORE getting them lol), but I will try to keep in mind to update if anything changes; good or bad. So far my only “major” qualm is that the remote is meh quality, but it doesn’t surprise me coming from the other 2.1 setup I have on my pc. It works, just has some quirks and likes for the buttons to be pressed a certain way. Not bothersome enough to devastate the experience, just makes it tedious sometimes.I did buy a 5.1 decoder to use that takes the optical output from my tv and turns it into the 6 channels of RCA output to go into the speakers, but that may not be necessary for all cases. Just depends on the hardware you intend to use the speakers with. If connecting to a PC, you will need a couple more 3.5mm to RCA cables to fully connect the surround sound, as the system only comes with one set of that and one set of red/white RCA only cables. I, thankfully, am a cable hoarder and had plenty of red/white pairs to use for my setup.TL;DR: has a couple quirks and may require some extra pieces depending on your use case, but overall a good budget performer for smaller rooms/home theaters.
