Cool enough
Overall it’s a decent one stop shopping unit. I needed something for my camper and this fit the bill. My only gripe, is the DVD player only plays in 480. Hdmi plays in 1080, but the dvd player only plays in 480(noticeable drop in resolution and clarity). My primary reason for this TV was having a dvd player and being 12v… because not every place I go has signal to run whatever streaming app I’m using or shore power. Contacted PYLE directly to see if there was a “hidden” setting to change the dvd format and I got the run around for over a month “our engineers are working on a solution”. So 2 stars for it being functional, being misled to believe that everything is in 1080, and PYLE not helping or giving direct answers. It’s overpriced for a 480 dvd player if you ask me.

Easy Setup. Best Remote. Good Volume, Well Made. Great Value!
I like this PYLE TV greatly. Lite, Slim, Perfectly packaged, even double boxed and beyond simple to set up and understand remote options The Remote is Wonderful. DVD player has Slow motion, Zoom, Closed Caption and easily adjusted picture or sound aspect. Volume range great. No glitch or difficulty with anything. Best I have found compared to other tv/dvd combo players. Only wish they made a model larger than 24″ (really 23.5″) yet does fit any space and pedestal is solid.

Screws break when hanging tv. Had otherbra.d
Freaking screws are all sub par. Hanging unit on bracket resulted in one screw breaking. Ridiculous! Last brand tv had three screws break off. I had to return it. Seems all provided screws are subpar to what is needed to complete the task. Shameful!!

Great TV/DVD COMBO
I really like this TV/DVD COMBO! The picture quality looks great and the built in TV tuner does a great job of pulling in television stations, even from a long distance. Having the DVD COMBO is very convenient, I didn’t have to buy another electronic component which means that I didn’t have to figure out where to put an extra device and no extra wiring. I definitely recommend this unit for anyone who has limited space!

Pyle 22” TV with DVD player exceeds expectations
The media could not be loaded.
I’m very pleased with the TV. I get more stations than I did on 19” Toshiba I previously owned for many years. The quality of the picture is great for a TV of this size. The sound is also a lot louder than I expected. I like the fact that I can adjust for the picture aspect ratio to accommodate for differences in DVDs. The only difficulty I have had thus far is that I haven’t been able to change channels by keying in station numbers. I am using this TV in a small bedroom.

Never heard of this brand, but after reading all about it and checking reviews, I decided I’d check it out. It works great! I wanted a small tv to watch in bed at night, so just attached a prime fire stick and all is good, the DVD player also works great. The tv, I believe states is great for a RV or car. Hope this helps.

Good-sized TV for Kitchen
The Pyle TV was easy to set up and has a good picture. I’m using it on cable rather than the antena, so I don’t know how that might affect the picture. The sound is a little tinny, but this isn’t my main TV so it’s acceptable. Amazon delivered promptly, on the date promised. For the money, it’s a good bargain.

remote control needs to have a decimal to go straight to digital channels directly.
The remote control numbers do not go directly to the digital channels, called the cust serv # and the representive was not helpful, she told me to go to TV MENU and select to channels, tab down and channels which are all set in the TV when I set the original scanner.But I go found out on my own to the ENTER button and view CHANNEL LIST then tab up or down to the channel you want directly, otherwise you would have to use the CHANNEL button arrows and scroll through every individual channels. So, to change CHANNELS use the ENTER, THEN CHANNEL LIST.CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTIVES need to be UPDATED on this information ASAP for new owners !!!!

Not a Smart TV
I searched Amazon for Smart 16″ TV and this model came up. Apparently, I didn’t investigate it well enough. It seems like a very nice TV, but it can’t connect to the internet wirelessly for streaming. If it could, I would have kept it. Hence, I am returning it and will keep looking. My bad, I should have investigated it more thoroughly.

Sound needs improvement.
Just as described +. I want to add a sound bar but can not find a small unit that will plug into the RCA jacks. Was a bit disappointed in the absence of a USB port. Replacing a 15.9 in the kitchen. This unit is a bit larger and still fits into the space previously occupied by the 15.9. Still searching for a small sound bar if anyone has suggestions.

Just by chance
This is exactly what I wanted to replace my old tv. However, the directions were hard to follow including the written ones and the ones on the tv. The set-up wizard on the tv kept telling me to do the channel auto scan when I had already done it three times. Finally I did it one more time and it finally worked. It could have said to continue auto scan after the first time. Instead I thought the tv didn’t work. You have to consider tech challenged people like me when making your products, or maybe we don’t count nowadays.

What’s Up With the Stand
I never got to turn the TV on since I was unable to install the stand. Three tiny black screws were provided for three holes that were located in a small sectional cavity each one smaller than a pinky fingernail. There was no way to tilt the TV to get to the housing without the screws falling out. Two fingers could not fit into the housing to start the screw. Perhaps it was me.If you are planning to use a streaming stick you will need to buy an extender. There is no room for the stick without it.I returned it.I hope future purchasers have better luck.

Used TV, Will only play DVD’s
When I placed my order for this 24″ Pyle TV it was on backorder for a couple of weeks. I was surprised when it showed up a bit early but didn’t have the new RV I planned to put it in. When I finally got ready to install it to my Suprise, I found it wrapped in bubble wrap and masking tape. The spare parts where in plastic sandwich bags and the directions lay loose in the box. I did however get a free DVD “The Missing link” an animated movie about bigfoot that the previous owner must have watched. Too late to return it, and it doesn’t pick up any of the uhf channels The TV in the living quarters gets 30 channels from the same receiver. I think the product is good! I just got screwed by Amazon and got a used TV.

DC Plug Tv DVD Combo
So far this product is perfect for our RV I was looking for a larger Rv that runs on 12v DC (cigarette lighter plug) with the dvd combo. This way the family can watch movies while we travel and we boon dock a lot. So no electricity, just house batteries. Exactly what I was looking for. So far sound is good and picture is good!

I’m not picky about TV quality, so to say anything critical it must be bad. I’m satisfied with the picture, but the sound quality is worse than I had imagined was possible. Would have returned it, but it was 1 day too late when we finally had the opportunity to try out the TV.

We received our new 12vdc TV by Pyle. Programed and used the monitor for our RV for our next adventure.Clear video, unable to test the DVD and receive Digital TV yet, but will tests the features shortly. The remote control has a lot of functions, which are a little confusing.

Do it all small TV, and it does it very well
The Pyle TV is shipped in double thick boxes to make sure it arrives in perfect shape and that carries over into the build and functionality of the unit. It’s not a smart TV but it comes with a full range of plug in’s and outlets to let you attach speakers and carry out other functions. The plastic case is built over a steel frame nothing rattles and the fit is very good. The DVD works fine with good sound for a small TV. It comes with a very sensitive external antenna that found over 40 stations over the air in the Phoenix area. Given you can run it on its internal batteries or plugged into an outlet gives you many ways to use the unit. I have purchased a half dozen small TVs, Tyler’s for the most part none of them lasted long or worked well. This Pyle TV is better in every respect. The picture is excellent.

Great Picture
Input connections are facing downward toward a speaker box intrusion which prohibits HDMI firesticks to connect HDMI port without a female to female HDMI adapter. Input ports should be at least on the side of the unit for easy access.

Good picture, so so sound, and lousy antenna connection
PLTLD16 – This set replaced an older Supersonic 13″ tv. The difference is noticeable with a brighter screen that has a wide viewing angle. We like the full-featured remote and ease of use. The TV was easy to setup in 10 minutes including mounting the stand.Unfortunately, Pyle (and others) have taken to using rear-facing speakers. This is dumb. A person is watching the TV from the front. The sound is already somewhat tiny, but this means that others sitting behind the TV, say in the dining room, have to listen to the TV at high volume. Lose one star for that.The second really frustrating thing about this set is the antenna/cable connection. It will not accept a molded straight antenna plug due to a large bump-out for the idiotic rear speaker. The designers of this fiasco should have their fingers crushed in a vice. What the heck were they thinking?? A TWO-IN-ONE REVIEW
PYTD16 and ZVOX AV100I thought it might be useful to provide both TV and external speaker review at one time. As the photo shows, I’m cramped for space and need both a TV and an external speaker since the TV’s internal speakers are not good. After considerable research I found this TV/speaker combination to fit the bill perfectly. Actually it was the only TV/speaker combination that would work. As the photo shows I’ve got a lot crammed into a small right-angle space on my bath vanity and it was a hassle getting all the wiring and cables in place. I found the use of four-outlet power strip to be required.1. The PYTD16. This TV is good for my application. On axis viewing has high resolution with 1080i. This resolution fades considerably as you move off axis. In my application this is not a problem. The set-up was reasonably straight forward although the use of the pesky cable receiver did complicate things. I use the top button to turn on the set on and the receiver button to boot up the receiver. I then must use the speaker remote to adjust the audio. (If you use an external speaker be sure to turn the TV speaker setting to “off.”) So I really only need to use one remote to turn things on and off. I use the optional stand since it lifts the unit up a bit and allows me to angle the screen a bit up as it sits on the slightly-angled top of the speaker. Luckily the back wall and wall plug provide TV support as the stand is 4” wide and the top of the speaker is only 2.5 “ wide. I have not and do not intend to use the DVD option. As the photo shows I don’t have room to slide in DVD anyway. When I had this house built I knew I would want a TV in the bath so I had it hard-wired although a wireless set-up will work. Thus, I can pull in all 450 channels with U-Verse. I did buy the 2-year insurance plan from Assurion but I hope I don’t need it. I have yet to receive confirmation of my insurance purchase from Assurion. I am able to communicate online or phone with Pyle. This is a real comfort. While the unit is made in China, their support is in the U.S. The unit comes with multiple connection options along with a number of cables depending on your needs. I add that if you don’t intend to add an external speaker to this TV then perhaps you should look at another brand. The user’s manual is available online to look at before purchase.Now, a BIG downside of the PYLE16. We have all experienced the mindless and stupid engineering of Chinese products. Well the PYLE16 takes the cake. I’m speaking of the obnoxiously loud voice alert that speaks when you turn the set on and off or when you alter the settings. It’s internal to the TV and cannot be defeated or turned off or lowered in volume. And it’s LOUD! This is the dumbest thing I can imagine. The user should be able to turn it off. I can see that turning this unit on or off in a bedroom would raise the ire of a sleeping partner.2. The ZVOX AV100 Voice Clarifying loudspeaker. As you have read in other reviews of the PYLE16, the internal TV speakers are terrible. I needed an external speaker that would give me more volume and would fit the small right-angled vanity space. The AV100 fits on top of the receiver just right. This speaker is ok and while I don’t have any hearing problems, after playing around with the six remote voice settings I can see that it can enhance voice audio. It “clarifies” the spoken word by rolling off the bass as the user chooses higher settings. I find the highest setting is a bit too much and sounds really scratchy. The lowest setting does produce some bass, but not much. In my bathroom I find the middle setting with some treble and some bass just right. However, different content providers’ audio signals do require me to adjust the clarifying setting on occasion. Be aware this external speaker will not give you any type of surround sound, imaging, or depth of audio. However, for my application it is perfect. I don’t think this speaker would be good for music. The remote is sturdy with easy to read buttons. Both the TV and speaker are available at Amazon. Unfortunately I bought the AV100 at Walmart for more than I would have paid at Amazon.I hope this review and photo helps those needing a similar close-quarter TV/external speaker application.

Beautiful picture quality
Perfect for our RV camper! Excellent picture quality. Sound is sufficient. The mount recommended (MI-LCDCM) worked perfectly. The TV provided no instruction on using a mount (other than the table top one provided). However, in the mount kit, the screws needed for the TV were there. The over the air antenna that came with the TV works great! We got 14 channels locally and we just re-search when we pull into a new area. Runs on our 12 volt house battery bank. Perfect for our needs. The DVD player is a very nice addition. Size is great for a small camper.

Good little tv, good picture, ok sound
I purchased this tv for my shuttle bus conversion. The selling factors were the smaller size, 120v and 12v option, and integrated DVD player. The tv is of decent build quality and was easy to install. After doing a channel scan, the tv picked up several HD channels with the provided antenna. The picture quality is good, but the sound quality leaves a lot to be desired. If a person wants better sound, there are hookups to attach a sound bar, or attach a wireless Bluetooth adapter to the HDMI port and pair up with Bluetooth speakers. Overall, a good small tv for an RV/bus.

Works great using the VGA input from my old Dell lap top, using HDMI input for my Raspberry Pi programming computer and the TV antenna that was included with the TV. I like the DVD for watching my old Hoppy CDs. The PYLE PLTD19 ELED TV replaced the DELL monitor I was using for my laptop. All fits nicely on my kitchen table with room for my breakfast plate and coffee mug. I like it!

Did not work right out of the box

Excellent picture quality from any angle
We needed a new small tv for the kitchen (the previous one from a competitor stopped after 7 years when the lithium battery inside went dead which was required even to use AC power).After researching, we chose this Pyle tv based on very good reviews and also wanting to try another company’s small tv performance. Could we do better than what we had for 7 years?This one is leaps & bounds better than the competitor’s we had.Why?(1) This new tv has excellent picture quality from ANY viewing angle in the kitchen. We didn’t know that was possible for a small tv like this (based on reviews for other competitor televisions), but yes, this tv is great for viewing at any place in the kitchen.(2) The sound quality for a small tv is also excellent.(3) The DVD player it has also works very well. That is an extra bonus we didn’t need, but appreciate having now.One note: If you plan to connect a cable (such as from verizon…), you will need to buy an inexpensive (few dollars) 90 degree coaxial adapter to accommodate the small working area in the back. Why? Slightly below where the cable is attached, one of the speakers was placed. This makes sense for good sound balance with the other speaker, but causes a tight fit for cable attachment directly above.The included digital antenna that comes with the tv connects without a problem because it is at a 90 degree angle. If you are only going to use the digital antenna, then this doesn’t pertain to you.Amazon sells the 90 degree adaptor, as well as Home Depot, Lowes, etc.. This is a very minor issue because the solution is easy & cheap, while the picture quality & sound are so good compared to what we were used to with a small tv.This is an early review in that we have only had the tv for two days, but it is a RECOMMEND until proven otherwise. If something changes, I will update this review.

Great for camper.
The antennae works well and the tv is multi purpose. So far I am pleased that a DVD, either music or movie, can be played, and tv reception is good. A separate DVD player is not needed.

Tv dvd combo
This tv dvd combo is fine. We thought it didn’t work as there is a switch on the bottom that is not mentioned. When we were boxing it up for a return we found it. Everything so far is working great

Great for the Boat
Sound volume and quality on videos is not as good as i was expecting but is acceptable and the picture/ease of use/setup makes up for it. There were several reviews who mentioned this and it is worth noting if you are expecting high quality cinematography. We purchased a mounting bracket that was very good; swing arm and connection were very sturdy and hooked right in.

Best small TV/DVD combo currently available
The 18.5” tv/dvd combo was shipped quickly from the Pyle warehouse. It was well packaged and double boxed. Delivered in excellent condition with no missing parts. The stand is very sturdy and easily attached. Large full function remote works very well. I only use OTA broadcast channels with signals from a large tower mounted antenna. As others have mentioned a coax cable connector does not fit on the RF antenna post without using a 90 degree adapter. This adapter is not included with the tv, but should be. The three major networks (CBS, NBC, ABC) broadcast in 720p or 1080i and the tv’s picture looks great with it’s native resolution. However, PBS, sub channels, and other local broadcast channels broadcasting in standard resolution (480i) all look horrible, very blurry and pixelized. The tv needs a processing chip to improve the terrible imaging of standard resolution broadcast channels. The audio is better than I expected based on other reviews, but it could be improved with front facing rather than downward facing speakers. It’s acceptable for a kitchen counter tv. I wish the tv had molded in hooks or loops on the back/bottom edge for cable management. Too early to tell about reliability and longevity. I researched all the small tv/dvd combos still being manufactured and the Pyle was the best choice. My only real disappointment is the terrible imaging of standard resolution broadcast channels.

Bookshelf TV ✔️
We bought this TV as a replacement for a bookshelf in our kitchen. We have only had it for a week. So far we are pleased with the size and resolution. The sound is tinny as stated in prior reviews but we are getting used to it. Pyle Technical Support was lacking the expertise to help us with setup; however, our internet provider was awesome walking us through setup. We purchased the PLTLD19 18.5″ ELED RV Digital TV. Small TV’s are disappearing. As stated above, so far we are pleased.
