Smart Soundbar 600 is a voice control soundbar with Amazon Alexa built in. And Bose Voice4Video technology lets you control the soundbar, your TV, and cable/satellite box with your voice. Or use Works With Google Assistant capabilities with a compatible Google device. There’s also an included remote, or you can access all of your music in the Bose Music app. And no matter what you stream, this wireless soundbar makes it all sound deep and rich. Connect to Wi-Fi to access integrated music services and internet radio stations through the app. Or stream songs and video with Bluetooth, Apple AirPlay 2, Spotify Connect, or Chromecast built-in. For more music throughout your home, group the soundbar with other Wi-Fi-enabled Bose products. Bose SimpleSync technology lets you pair it with a compatible Bose headphone or Bluetooth speaker for private listening or more sound. Setup is easy with one connection to the TV (HDMI eARC/ARC and optical audio cables are included) and step-by-step instructions in the Bose Music app. Available in Black.

Decent sound quality; connectivity hurdle
Bose is a well-reputed brand and doesn’t need an intro. The quality of this soundbar is decent, the 600 by itself is a slick unit by design and the small remote leaves a bit more to desire. You will definitely need the Bose music app to setup and unlock/control all the features available on this soundbar. However, the real blunder was connectivity.I have an OLED TV and the Bose 600 Soundbar had really clunky connectivity to my OLED tv. I googled and finally found a way to pair the soundbar with my OLED TV. After following the workaround (where you basically setup the soundbar to the ARC HDMI of your TV) and then set it up as a home theater instead of a soundbar. It initially worked, and then after a little bit of playing around, it stopped working. I removed and backed out and re-added the soundbar and after few days of working right, it stopped working again. When I went through the optical cable route, this TV worked much better, but DOLBY ATMOS is not supported via Optical Cable connection.I gave up and set this up on my second TV which is a different brand. This time around, the setup was smooth, no connectivity issue and worked like a charm. After a lot of research, I found out this soundbar has known connectivity issues with certain TVs. Unsure if this is the tv brand or Bose but I was looking to pair my OLED TV with some DOLBY ATMOS audio and it sortta failed my objective.By itself, on the second TV, this soundbar has generated decent sound (not over the moon) but definitely a steep step up from my built-in TV speakers. Is this a good product? Yes, but room for improvement. Was it worth it? Perhaps. Do I recommend this? Only if you are not planning to set this up on a certain brand of OLED TV.

Bose Smart Soundbar 600 with Dolby Atmos
Compact and sleek design. Sound is good. Bose music app is needed to set up. Serial number was flagged at registration as incorrect. Bose support contacted and they had to activate warranty since it showed the sound bar had an expired warranty serial number. Can’t understand how a brand new Bose sound bar could have an expired warranty serial number.

Better than tv speakers
Sound is a bit better than the tv speakers. It disconnects frequently when system is in sleep mode and most of the time needs to be reconnected upon system power up

The best stand alone speaker
I had an inexpensive 5.1 soround sound 5.1 system. Too much bass for my room. Just wanted to replace my tv speakers. This bar sounds absolutely amazing. Great bass sound. Buy it!

Amazing sound!
I wanted to upgrade my soundbar from the Bose Solo, and this certainly was an upgrade. I have seen videos in youtube comparing this bar (bose 600) to the Bose soundlink revolve, and there is no comparison. The soundlink does not have a crisp-clean sound like this bar once you go above 50 in the volume. Certainly, this is twice the price but worth every penny. The bass could be a little stronger, but, that is not to say that it lacks power. It is the perfect soundbar for your average size living or bedroom. I love it!

Great sound….nothing compares to Bose
First and foremost, it is a Bose product…………….the sound is great and it comes in a compact item. Sound bar fits great under the television and you can’t even tell it is there. The sound is out of this world, as is every Bose product. The downside I found is, before it will work, I had to download the Bose app to my smartphone/tablet, then get the soundbar to find my wifi. I thought this was a joke because what if I didn’t have a smartphone or wifi. It would have never worked for my parents because they are elderly and don’t use smartphones or wifi. After muttering very choice words about Bose for several minutes, the app worked, the soundbar linked up with my wifi and life was good again. This unit is definitely NOT just a plug and play, there is some work involved to get the soundbar operational, but once it is hooked up, it sounds WONDERFUL.

Typical great Bose Sound!
I really like this product overall, had some issues in connecting and recognizing it in my set-up, but seems to be working fine now. So far so good! Sounds great, much better than my TV speakers. I think a subwoofer would provide even more depth to it but it’s pretty damn good as a stand-alone unit.

Great sound when it works
I like the sound.I find signing into app each time a nuisance.I had the Sound Bar 600 since November and bought it through Amazon. I have constantly been forced to repeat HDMI e-arc connection and feel its Bose failure to match outputs and their input. I find this may have been brought on by firmware support of the Soundbar 600 many excellent features. I turned out to have been setting PASS THROUGH in the advanced digital settings in T-link. With Bose support and call with manufacturers support I’m finding I love this Sound bar. It’s an excellent choice and is everything I expected with exception to the complexity of the firmware. In my case I must get a steady stepstool climb up pull the hdmi and power and press the power on. After plugging every back in presto Bose Volume reappears. So…Pay your money take your chances. Stick with the Soundbar 600 you too may love it.

Difficulty setting up
Took over an hour to finally realize the unit will not connect to either of my home internets so I cannot use the app. Running it via blue tooth as an external headphone speaker. Instructions from Bose are severely inadequate. Attempts to go to the support site provided returned 404 errors. What is running through the Bluetooth sounds okay compared to TV and other external speakers. Still having issues compating the bass subwoofer unit to the soundbar. Definitely not a plug and play situation for us non techies at all.

Bose still making the right sound!
Bose has always been a favorite of mine. I am using this on an old Smart Tv and it works well. For this speaker to function properly though you need to download the Bose Smart Soundbar 600 app or else the speaker won’t function correctly. The app allows you to adjust the speakers as you see fit.

The Bose Smart Soundbar 600 – A Great Solution, but Read On
I purchased this soundbar around a month ago. Here is a general overview if you are curious about my experience thus far:SOUNDThis soundbar is a fantastic solution to transform my bedroom into its own Movie Theater (and adding in the Bass Module 500 really accentuates the surround sound effect, even with no rear speakers). When tuned appropriately inside the Bose Music app, the performance can be incredible in smaller spaces like my bedroom (especially when playing Dolby Atmos content), but you may be better suited to pursue other options (whether by Bose or other manufacturers) if you have a much larger space. My recommended settings are to alter the height channel between 80 and 90, bass to 60 (and external bass module to 80%), and center channel to 10. The sound really rebounds off the wall in all directions, giving you the feeling that there are invisible speakers all around you.FUNCTIONALITY/EASE OF USESimple – plug and play so long as your TV has either an eARC or Optical Input port. You will definitely get the most out of this soundbar using eARC for the Dolby Atmos (and Dolby Atmos-like effects). Additionally, your TV remote will sync its functions with the soundbar so long as you enable CEC in your TV’s settings and use the eARC port – quite convenient to avoid using more than one remote (including the one that is included with the soundbar). I also set Alexa up on this soundbar, but be warned – as of the current software update, this voice assistant will randomly fail to function on demand at all times. Just wait around 30 seconds to a minute, and she should be active again. A software update could fix this problem, but we’ll see if Bose responds.OVERALL REVIEWIf you aren’t budget conscious, are invested in the Bose ecosystem, and crave a big sound in a smaller space, I would recommend this soundbar to you. Get the bass module first if you must have an expanded soundstage – it makes a significant difference (but like the general sound adjustments you need to make in the Bose Music app, make sure to adjust the bass response as well for a movie theater-like experience).10/26/2023 Update***I still have this soundbar, and it’s still performing beautifully like it has on day one. However, Bose has still not addressed the voice assistant issue that I initially mentioned in this review. I can get Alexa to successfully activate around 40-50% of the time, but no higher.12/9/2023 Update***Bose has evidently released a patch to the soundbar that fixes my issue with the smart assistant activation issue – now it responds 100% of the time so long as your internet connection is stable.

Great until it wasn’t
We initially were very happy with the Bose Soundbar 600 – truly great immersive sound! But then it started to act up. First it wasn’t pairing with the TV despite being connected via the HDMI cable. Then we had trouble with playing music over blue tooth. Finally it wasn’t turning on or off with the remote. I tried every recommended fix from rebooting (unplugging it and plugging it back in worked for about two weeks and then that stopped working). We are returning it and will look for something else. It’s too bad – we had the basic Bose TV Speaker and liked it and wanted an upgrade for movie watching. Sad it didn’t work out.

Great Soundbar for the cost
I have been looking at soundbars for a while now, so many to choose from in this price range. I decided to go with the Bose 600 to have to option on the Subwoofer and additional speakers in the future if i wanted them.My setup is a LG TV, Roku Express, LG Blu-ray player and Harmony RemoteThe Setup of the Bose soundbar with these was simple using HDMI arc, just plug and play. Did have a little trouble using Harmony remote at first, once all activities were setup when it sent command to turn on TV, both the tv and soundbar turned on and then it sent command to turn on Soundbar and it would turn back off. So i did have to use the Bose Music app and go through the soundbar update to get to settings to turn off the feature of the tv and soundbar turning each other on and off together as my remote did not like that feature.Been using it for a week now to stream TV and watch movies and must say i love it. When watching a movie it gives great sound on those action scenes and i feel the scenes with background music while people are talking are much easier to hear the characters talking now then just my tv speakers

A must have for small rooms
Audio is very important part of my daily life. When not on voice calls, I like to immerse myself in Music and TV and have been happy with my 5.1 Home Theater system, and was not budging to even try a soundbar. Having seen more popularity with sound and now Bose releasing a sound bar [in my budget], I decided to give it a try to let go of my 5+ year old Home Theatre system. The setup was rather easy for my configuration, and the sound quality was amazing, having used it for a month, I would say this is a solid purchase, and I wouldn’t switch back to Home Theatre, especially if you have a small room-setup. (i.e. under 300 sqft)

Has intermittent audio drops. Otherwise good sound
This product has good potential. The sound quality is good for the price. It supports Dolby Atmos and has a dialog enhancement option, which is a nice feature. However, a major negative is that audio will randomly drop for 3-4 seconds every hour or so. This is a deal breaker and I had to stop using the product.

Very good product, easy to install and easy to use.Still delivers a great audio quality, which is expected from Bose. I could not find much different to 300 series. Update to this from 300 might not be worthwhile. If you are buying for the 1st time, a great soundbar indeed

Superior Sound
This is my 1st soundbar and it didn’t disappoint me. I’m not the most tech savvy but it was super easy to setup with just 1 connection to the TV. It was packaged very well so I didn’t have to worry about any damage to it. The directions were very simple. The sound that comes out of it is amazing and gives the overall surround sound impression. The 600 by itself is a slick unit by design and the with a small and simple remote. You will definitely need the Bose music app to setup and unlock/control all the features available on this soundbar, which was also easy to set up and navigate. Overall-Bose doesn’t disappoint once again. I would recommend this product!

I absolutely love this new Soundbar. The sound is crystal clear and is amazing for binge watching. Compact and Powerful
Wow what an amazing soundbar! It is compact in size and is well designed to fit nicely in front of your TV. The set up was very easy and I was ready to enjoy Atmos sound thanks to the two upward-firing speakers for immersive Dobly Atmos experience. I downloaded Bose app and was able to update this soundbar to the latest firmware. There are multiple ways to adjust the EQ and fine tune your sound stage. I also enjoyed Bose’s TrueSpace feature which upscales stereo and 5.1-channel content for a Dolby Atmos-like effect. I would definitely recommend getting a subwoofer for full experience and bass filled power. This is definitely a great addition to our home theater and we are looking forward to enjoying many movies!

Disappointing
This Bose product does not live up to its reputation. I was trying to upgrade from my Samsung brand soundbar that costs less than a third of this product, thinking that it give an upgrade to my audio experience. But turns out its a downgrade and lacks bass and midrange, being only good at treble. Then I looked at the specs again and realized they have moved the main drivers to the top of the soundbar to create the ceiling channels and the center channel is left with a measly tweeter struggling to put out the dialogs and midrange. Overall not worth the money and very disappointed with what Bose did to this product.

Great product for smaller rooms.
I don’t have a big room. This product is more than enough to fill sound and base. I couldn’t image what it would be like with more additional speakers that are available. I don’t have a problem hearing anything anymore. I can hear water, pages flipping, and clothing moving on shows and movies because of sound quality. For my needs; it is perfect. Wife is happy I don’t have to turn up the TV so loud.

Terrible connectivity… super disappointing
Well I was so excited to finally upgrade my system to the higher end. Couldn’t decide between the competition (we all know who they are) and Bose. I went with Bose because of the higher ratings in actual sound quality. I must say that didn’t matter at the end. Spend several hours trying to fix connectivity issues between the music app and the soundbar. It kept dropping off and not detecting the soundbar. After many failed attempts to fix myself I called customer service. On hold for about an hour when I finally figured out in could text with them. After another 20 minutes of being on hold finally had someone to help me. Of course they ran me through all the trouble shooting that I had already done. After a few attempts I finally gave up. Even the tech person commented after I said I’m probably returning: “I would do the same thing”. That paired with the fact that I had to waste so much time trying to figure out connectivity issues on a $500 speaker out of the box made me decide to return product and go with the competition, which has zero issues with connectivity. I even tested at friends place who happen to get a new soundbar.I have a brand new high end mesh network at home, and I think I’m rather tech savvy, but I was just stumped at the connectivity issues which really ruined the whole experience.Great sound from the actual product. Nice bass and middles. That’s why they get 2 stars.I almost kept cause I was like maybe it’s just me. But no, not the only one with the issues. And honestly there shouldn’t be any issues at all when you have a simple and fantastic WiFi system at home. At one point I was so frustrated I actually punched the wall. 😬. Thank you Amazon for making returns so easy.I don’t understand why you wouldn’t release a super easy to set up soundbar when you go are paying premium prices like these. You lost me at the beginning Bose. I will now invest on your competition. I wanted to like like you Bose, but you were terribly frustrating and disappointing with such awful software. 1000,s of $ will now go to the competition. My advice: fix the app and connectivity issues cause issues like these will keep potential new client away such as myself.Hope you all had better experiences.I really do in depth review like theee, but I believe one was warranted here.Cheers and don’t do it!

Great upgrade
The speakers on most new TVs are ridiculous. I have an LG OLED that sounds like the speakers are coming from deep inside a tin can.For the price and options this speaker is amazing. The only complaint I have is it was taller than the TVs edge. This is one of the lowest profile speakers, but it was still taller than the edge of the TV.Simple fix. I had local small hardware store cut 1”x4”x6’ down to 12”. Purchased a sample can of blackest black paint and now the speaker fits perfectly.

Small Footprint and Big Sound
Amazing sound from such a small packageBluetooth connection was simple and I have not had any dropped connections, range up to about 35ft.The Alexa integration was a nice surprise and the fact that I can stream directly to my Bose headphones is simply amazing!! Also, while mostly unnecessary the Bose Music app has a nice interface and is intuitiveI compared this to two competitors, I removed independent subwoofers for fairness, and the Bose blew them away. That said, if you want a truly amazing sound experience, it really does need the sub and the Bose Bass Module 500 is currently $400, so that would bring this to a $1000 setup and it just simply is not worth it.

Another outstanding Bose speaker!!
The moment I got the Bose Smart Soundbar 600 setup and and heard the initial sounds from broadcast television., I was blown away! Definetly packa a punch from suxh small and compact system. Absolutely recommend this soundbar especially if you are coming from standard TV speakers. I was coming from a legacy Receiver and satellite and sub speaker setup. I was amazed that the Bose rivaled the sound quality out of compact speaker. Dialogue is crystal clear and at lower volume levels, the bass was adequate for casual TV listening. I ran through a gamut of tests with different kinds of television, movies, and spotify music and I am very pleased with this soundbar. Now if you watch alot of movies and are expecting theater quality sound, you will likely need to pick up a Bose Bass speaker to upgrade the lows performance. I bought this soundbar with that expectation as I knew that it would not be able to reproduce the lows adequately needed for theater listening. One slightly annoying issue arose. It is well documented that this soundbar and a brand of TVs have an issue where they soundbar will not play any sound at times. Unfortunately I experienced this issue, but it only took unplugging my soundbar and reconnecting it to restore the connection. If you have another brand TV, you should be in the clear. I can live with those issue until I upgrade the TV I use it on, but it is a slight annoyance.

Bose 600 Master in Sound
Bose Soundbar 600 worth the price. First thing I noticed was the quality of the Sound with crystal clear Audio. I was watching the Beast and Beautiful, and I could hear every dialogue very clearly.Though it looks small in Size, it produces great sound throughout the room. The Atmos feature is a great addition to this size. The package comes with HDMI cable,Optical, Power and I/R remote. Using the remote you can play/Pause the music. The Sound bar can be managed by the Bose Music App and it has the built -in Alexa feature and also works with Google Assistant. The soundbar can be connected to any bluetooth device.Overall I liked the Sound coming from Bose Sound Bar 600 and It really stands out in the market among competitors.

Bose 600 Soundbar
It didn’t want to connect to my wifi or phone until I restarted the wifi modem, phone and Bose Soundbar. So if you have trouble combed try that. It has great sound though it really needed a subwoofer which I ended up buying after using this alone for a few weeks. I love its short stature as it actually fits under my smart TV which is just sitting on a console so not much clearance. My previous soundbar didn’t fit so I had to put it on something else which made it hard to get around. All-in-all, Bose delivered their usual high quality, though spendy equipment.

Quick and Easy Setup
I’ve only had my Bose Smart Soundbar 600 a couple of days and I’m already in love with it! This soundbar didn’t disappoint in both sound and quality. It was so easy to set up right out of the box via Bluetooth connection with my Alexa Echo. It was pretty much, plug and play. It was also easy to connect to my TV via Wi-Fi with the HDMI cord that is included as well as a remote control. You can control both the soundbar and your TV sound using the built-in Amazon Alexa voice control.I can now request and stream my favorite stations on Pandora using just my voice with Alexa voice control or using the Pandora app on my TV.You do need to download the Bose Music app on your phone to connect and set up via Bluetooth; and when you connect with the HDMI cord to your TV, it automatically shows you how to set it up on the screen. The Bose app acts like an equalizer for the soundbar where you can make adjustments to the different sounds. It was easy-peasy for a not-too-savvy tech person like myself. I recommend you give it a try if you enjoy clear, crisp and rich sounds while watching movies and/or streaming music.

Print manual, please.
The 600 is a typically excellent product but the set-up would have been immensely quicker and easier if Bose had bothered to include a printed Quick Guide to set up. Of course by making me go online and registering the product to get the set up app, I now enjoy the endless product promotions for all of Bose’s products. Sound marketing, poor customer service.

Major Pain Due To App
App wouldn’t connect to the speaker so couldn’t get to the instructions to set it up. Kept giving me an error that it can’t connect to the speaker. Took about 2 hours before finally got it working. It should take about 5 minutes. Trying to call the Helpdesk was a waste of time. Soundbar looks nice and decent sound. It doesn’t give you any indication of the level of sound when you try to set the volume. Cheap remote. I was expecting better overall.

Good built quality, but app and connection are complicated.
Good overall built quality and sound is very good, much fuller than my TV speaks. It does make a big difference in playing movie or music on the TV. But the connection through blue tooth and app is complicated. I am a very handy person on this kind of things, but have to give up after several trying.

Excellent Sound Quality for the Price
This baby rocks our living room, kitchen, and outdoor areas. Clear, crisp dialogue when used with our smart TV. We ended up using the optical cord provided, but appreciated having the option of using the HDMI cable provided. Easy to set-up and to connect to online music subscriptions. Sometimes we have to turn it on manually even though it’s synch’d with our TV. The Bose app is easy for adjusting mode (Bluetooth to TV), equalizer, and volume levels using our iPhones and iPads. We’ll definitely be adding on more Bose smart speakers to this soundbar for an even more immersive experience.

Location of HDMI connection too low to base.
This is a good soundbar which installed and connected easily. My only complaint is with the HDMI port being too low to the base. My TV stand presses on the cable so I needed to install a 1/4 inch thick board under the soundbar to relieve the pressure. Why not locate the ports (power an HDMI) to midway up the back?Larry

Great soundbar but do not use cheap HDMI cable that comes with it.
The soundbar is great with terrific sound and clear voices. People have had some problems with it but most can be traced to the cheap HDMI cable that is included. Ditch the cable and purchase a good HDMI 2.2 cable. I had problems where the sound periodic did not work. After changing the cable, my problems went away. I have no idea why Bose would put such a cheap cable in a high end product.

I’m surprised by the sound quality of this Bose Smart Soundbar 600. The proposal and construction are perfect. I live in a studio and wanted something compact to improve the sound quality of my TV. My TV has built-in Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, but it didn’t have great audio quality. This soundbar improved my TV’s audio quality by 100%. It amplified the sounds of voices, music and general sounds that I couldn’t quite define before. I bought it because I like to watch movies, sports, shows and documentaries from streaming services. The sound quality of this bar with Dolby Atmos is impressive! Comes with power cables, optics, hdmi and a small remote control. Easy installation. I’m very satisfied with this soundbar. Now I can say that I have cinema sound in my house. Great sound with Dolby Atmos at an affordable price.

Best Sound Quality
Bose Soundbar 600, the first thing I noticed is the quality of the Sound with crystal clear Audio. This Bose sound bar is better than what I expected. I watched a movie on Netflix, I hear every dialogue very clearly. Though it looks small in Size, it produces great sound throughout the room. The Atmos feature is a great addition to this size. The Bose Soundbar had a deep rich base and great high quality treble and midrange sounds. The Sound bar can be managed by the Bose Music App and it has the built-in Alexa feature and also works with Google Assistant. The Soundbar can be connected to any Bluetooth device. I am really happy with the Boser Soundbar sound quality. I would definitely recommend this Soundbar to family and friends.

I would like to recommend, but I cannot.
The sound is great. Better than any Soundbar I’ve ever had. But it frequently just stops working. The only solution is to unplug from power and wait a few minutes. Then plug it back in and turn everything off. Sometimes this has to be done multiple times. While I’m enjoying the great sound, I probably wouldn’t purchase this again if I had it to do all over. It is too frustrating when I have to spend 10 minutes fiddling with it.

IMPRESSIVE AT THIS PRICE POINT
Full disclosure…..We own several Bose products ranging from their Wave Radio through indepednent speakers.Product arrived on time and well packaged. THREE separate boxes, two of which had padding. The build quality is typical Bose rock solid. Fit and finish are excellent. Set up was as simple as connecting the power and HDMI cables, powering it up, and completing the start up process using the Bose Music app. The sound bar did require an initial software update, which is not at all unusual. I would say that it took about 15 minutes for the update to complete. There is no progress bar to tell you where in the process it is, so you just have to trust that the installation is going fine. I would suggest to Bose that the inclusion of a progress bar would mke owners more comfortable during longer updates…Once the software update has installed you complete a few more steps on the app and then fire the sopund bar up. The sound quality is what you would expect from Bose. I installed the sound bar 600 ONLY with no subwoofer. Thus far the bar has done an adequate job of supplying base / lower frequency sound. No it will not vibrate you out of your chair, but quite adequate and surprising and your neighbors will likely be happy that you are not shaking their walls. Your result will vary of course due to location, room characteristics, etc…And you will most likely have to fine tune the bass, treble, and center / top speaker setting to suit your room characteristics and your personal taste in sound. Thus far I have only played with the sound bar for about 30 minutes, so time will tell on how well the Truespace works with the upward firing speakers. Speech was very clear without using the app feature which enhances the voice profile through the center speaker. I did move through a number of programs and music apps as a test. The music also sounds Bose good. I have not done a higher volume test as that will have to wait until the wife is not home…..For obvious reasons. So, overall first impressions….I am VERY pleased with the Bose 600 sound bar thus far. Years ago we had the Bose 321 system. The ability to spead out the two satellite speakers may have given that an edge of the side firing speakers, but they were also extra clutter.I will update this review, perhaps over the weekend, once I have some time to really put this sound bar through its paces.

Good speaker replace hmi cored
I got this to replace the Bose tv speaker in the bedroom. It is a much better speaker the sound fill the room much better at a lower volume. I don’t have to turn it up at the same level as my tv speaker. The speaker sending sound upwards is a plus I was impressed buy the sound. I’m a person who loves traditional home entertainment systems. That’s what I got going in my basement I never cared for the speaker that come with a tv so a sound bar become my favorite thing for the bedroom I don’t have to invest thousands of dollars to get a good sound in my bedroom. The size is perfect I have it on the wall underneath my tv. I haven’t use the Bluetooth because I have Apple Music on my tv. Now the hmi cored that come with it doesn’t work well with my lg c2 the cored stop work with my tv I read that for some reason the hmi that come with this model has a problem with lg tv. I find that to be true I would suggest buy a new cord if you have a lg . I have Sony in the basement and it works on that tv with out a problem I switch out a hmi cored from the Sony with the Bose and problem solved. The set up was easy with the Bose music app I would suggest the speaker to anyone who like Bose speakers that doesn’t want to buy there best sound bar but don’t want the cheapest one it’s perfect for that. I would say give it a try if you want a good sound bar for a reasonable price.

Amazing Sound and Life of the Party for a Soundbar
The Bose Smart Soundbar 600 is an awesome and surprisingly compact package for a soundbar that has a plethora of capabilities to your sound needs and wants. The full breadth of sound that can really fill up a room or open area. Max volume is loud, yet is still clear with highs, lows, and mids. The soundbar performs well with music, audiobooks, TV shows, movies, and video games.Even more, the soundbar continues to deliver with wired connectivity support via optical cable and HDMI for connecting to your audio source. These cables are included for a nice option to get connected immediately.Additionally, wireless connectivity is covered in a multitude of areas. The Bose Smart Soundbar 600 has the option to play from Bluetooth, AirPlay, and Chromecast along with the wired options and it is quick and easy to switch between them.An extra smart aspect is Alexa support, but at the time of review, Alexa access via the soundbar was unsuccessful after logging in. I anticipate that this will be available via an update in the future.Next, the Bose SimpleSync extends the sound possibilities by allowing synchronized audio play with compatible Bose speakers and headsets. For example, the QuietComfort 45 (QC45) headset can connect to devices that don’t have Bluetooth connectivity. It takes less than 10 seconds to be enable, which is excellent. Also, connecting an additional speaker to create a Speaker Group, you allow yourself to be surrounded by sound. The recommend distance/requirement of 30 ft is accurate, so ensure they are this distance or less from each other. The audio levels of each device in the Speaker Group can be controlled via the Bose Music App. The Bose Music App also gives you the audio sync option with the TV or among the speakers for the perfect viewing and listening experience. The Bose Smart Soundbar 600 is an excellent choice for a soundbar that can stand on its own and produce amazingly rich sound at lower and higher volumes from so many audio sources but can invite so many other Bose products to the party to create a symphony in your household. The Bose Smart Soundbar 600 being in your home is a very sound decision.

Defective and Problematic from the start, only got worse until it became completely unusable
Bose is top of the line, but this product was a dud. From day 1 it had issues holding a connection to the TV and the app. Despite several resets, the issue would only resolve temporarily. Then, only a few weeks later, there was an issue with the power and sound. The sound would just turn off randomly, which required several minutes of unplugging and re-plugging everything to get to work temporarily. Then, eventually, the power just stopped working for 15-20 minutes at a time. Since the app never held a connection to the item i couldnt do anything from the app to try and fix it

Quality sound
Had the speaker for a few days now and so far I’m extremely pleased with the quality of the sound and clarity of dialogue (when dialogue mode is turned on). I mounted my speaker above my TV in 10′ ceiling living room and I love the way this speaker fills the room with immersive sound! I’ve only listened to RnB music at this point and again sounded great. The Bose app is simple and I use it for fine-tuning.Highly recommend this speaker!!!

Big sound from a slim profile!
The Bose 600 smart sound bar so far has exceeded all expectations I’ve had for a sound bar. I had no idea the amount of sound that could come from such a slim, sleek, and modern designed profile. Some of my favorite features so far are that you can pair Bluetooth, wifi, or HDMI straight to your TV.The unboxing and initial set up is easy, quick, and anyone can do it. The instructions within the Bose app are easy to follow and I would recommend anyone use that to get the initial set up completed.I love that they added Dolby Atmos sound technology to this sound bar – which means you can actually receive surround sound even though there aren’t any other external speakers hooked up to the device. They do this with some incredible technology that bounces sound waves off of the walls as it scans the room. I’ve tried some movies with this so far and the sound experience is incredible. The bass is so strong you can feel it, yet it doesn’t drown out the higher pitches or the voices.Music is incredible on the Bose 600 Smart Sound bar. I’ve listened to just about every genre and style of music so far. You get extremely rich base, but clear instrumentals at the same time. That’s very challenging to do in my experience with speakers in the past. They usually do one of the two well, however in this case the Bose speaker does them both well.I love the smart features that allow me to control the music, volume, and mute mic from my phone.I strongly recommend anyone looking to enhance their home theatre to buy this particular sound bar. You won’t be disappointed!

Unnecessary Difficulties For Headphone Users
I purchased the Bose sound bar 600 within a month of buying a new 55 inch smart television for the family living room. After setting up the entire television, cable management, gaming systems, and sound bar I slowly noticed that every time I connected bluetooth headphones to my television that within 15-20 minutes the television would disconnect the headphones and a black screen would appear. This television was brand new! How was this happening!? I checked the bluetooth settings on my television, unpaired and re-paired my headphones, and even reconnected my Wi-fi. I continued to try everything to fix the issue thinking that some sort of television update had caused it initially. So I unplugged the television and reset it. Then I deleted and re-installed all my streaming apps. Nothing worked. So I thought there was a hardware problem and bought things such as a long headphone aux wire, audio splitter, bluetooth audio dongle transmitter, and was so distraught that I even considered buying new bluetooth headphones! After months of frustration and trial and error I finally thought that my new television was broken for this feature and slowly stopped using headphones more and more with the television altogether. This terrible headache went on for 4-5 months. One weekend I was fortunate enough to stumble upon a reddit page that was over 4 years old that spoke of a similar issue with all Bose sound bars. Apparently their is a pre-configured setting within Bose sound bars that automatically turns the sound bar off after a pre-set amount of time if no sound comes out and this can also lead to a black screen overriding the televisions Energy Saver mode settings. Since using headphones (bluetooth or plugged in directly to the television) triggers no sound to come out of the sound bar this was causing all my frustrations. I was flabbergasted and had no idea the sound bar was causing all my problems! I quickly double-checked the instructional manual that came with the product to see where it said this and how I had missed this during my initial set-up. I kid you not this sound bar only has three instructions consisting of plugging the sound bar in, downloading the Bose app, and following any instructions on the Bose app for setup! You are just supposed to magically figure everything else out right down to common troubleshooting issues. I recognize that I am among the 5% or less of users that occasionally use headphones with my smart television so many people will never need this information. However, for those of you that have struggled with this issue please go into your Bose Music app and complete your initial set-up along with creating a new account. Afterwards, make sure your sound bar is connected to the same wi-fi address as you smart television. Click the soundbar Bose 600 picture and then the gear icon to access sound bar settings. Under the power category select standby timer. Uncheck it from the pre-selected choice which depends on the make and model of your sound bar (Ex. Mine was 20 minutes) and choose never. This will fix the issue immediately! I spent unnecessary money dealing with this issue and almost bought both a new television and headphones trying to fix this problem. As a first time Bose customer I was very frustrated with the lack of clarity given in their written instruction manual for this sound bar and will consider purchasing another brand of sound bar in the future as the sound quality is decent but not amazing. Overall this was a HUGE unnecessary headache for a bluetooth headphone user such as myself. I eventually figured it out but had I known what I was in for I would have never purchased this item. I decide to take the time to write this review to help other people. The same way that random 4 year old reddit post floating around on the internet helped me.

Sound stops working
UPDATE: I have it working now. I updated the firmware and turned off CEC. Right now it seems to be working, but we will see. Like I said: when it works it’s fantastic, but the frustration it has caused me to this point and the constant fear that it will randomly stop working will not allow me to go above 4 stars on this.Initial review below (one star):I’ve had this for about a month. I paired it with the 500 subwoofer. Use my Xbox series X and I’m on a 77″ LG OLED C3. Worked brilliantly …. At first ….Now the sound only comes out of the subwoofer 50% of the time, but will still come out of the subwoofer. My TV states that it has Dolby Atmos via the sound bar as well, but doesn’t work. Then I’ll try it hours later and it works, then the next morning it doesn’t work again.I’ve tried all of the CEC options, new cables, modified the TV settings as well as the Xbox. It’s the sound bar.I’m going to attempt to update the firmware this weekend. If that doesn’t work then I’m going to have to replace this sound bar. When it works it’s great. IF it works …..
