Not that good
The picture quality- specifically color rendering is terrible. There are colors on this that don’t show up at all while being vivid on all of my other devices and monitors. I have tried to correct it and adjust settings but nothing works. It’s like my colors are just washed out on this thing. This is the first time I’ve had a negative experience with LG.

Horrible Color Banding Ruins This Otherwise Good Budget Monitor
I bought this for my guest gaming rig, which my young son also uses. It replaced a $99 24″ TN Dell Black Friday Special. The 144Hz creates a very sharp and impressive motion, which is as good if not better than my personal monitor, a Pixio PX7. However, the Image Quality is far worse by comparison, with the primary issue being color banding. If you’ve seen multiple High Refresh Rate monitors before, you’ll know that the image quality is all over the place with these. TN Panels are fast and generally inexpensive for what you get, but often have image quality issues, such as banding, gamma shift, poor viewing angles, etc. IPS Panels generally fix much of the Image Quality issues, but cost more and are often worse at handling motion, due to slower pixel response. VA Panels often don’t handle motion perfectly, either, but give you a much higher contrast picture. But at under $200 for 24″ 1080p 144hz, you can’t be too picky. Even expensive monitors aren’t perfect, and at this price point, you really have to pick your poison. In my case, I’m using it as a guest/kids monitor, but the banding really kills it, IMHO. I actually ordered a Pixio PX248 Prime to compare and potentially replace this LG. It’s $10 less and has the same basic specs, but it’s an IPS panel. Even if it’s a little worse at motion, the better color, lack of banding, and better viewing angles will probably make it win in my book.I’ll report back once I can compare them side by side.

This monitor is amazing.
I got this monitor because I was upgrading my whole setup. I am almost complete with my PC build, so I was using this monitor on my previous computer equipped with a 1050 ti. Regardless of the old 1050 ti, I can still run up to 300 frames on VALORANT, with low settings. The 144hz is so smooth and is a gigantic upgrade from the previous 60hz. The colors are also amazing for a TN panel and the viewing angles are good too. I don’t like many of the presets, so I just stick to the FPS preset because it looks the best. It is very easy to navigate through the menu. I was stumped at first, looking where to change the refresh rate. I remembered to go to NVIDIA Control Panel. Don’t forget that step guys!I am using HDMI currently, so I can’t get 1ms response time, but it is still very fast and responsive. I will be using my newly purchased DP cable when my PC is complete.

It’s been great all around, but I have accidentally scratched the screen a couple times with the plastic corner from a bag of weed. So I would recommend buying a screen protector.

works good getting hdmi to run at 144hz
i am able to get it to run at 144hz over hdmi but it will not go to 1ms on hdmi , i think you need display port cable to get 1ms , the way i got it to run 144hz over hdmi was get all the newest drivers for my gpu or apu , then i turned on freesync on my desktop then i turned it on in my game in the amd menu , then i put the monitor menu in basic freesync and boom it runs at 144hz , but it does not get 1ms over hdmi so not sure , another point i would like to make is that i have only tested this for less than one day , so i will update this as i use it more. for me the screen is big and if it was any bigger it may not fit on my small desk , oh well i hope this info helps someone , i had a few pixels out because it was damaged in shipping but i expected as much but i cant pay 300$ for the same one at wal-mart , or the 90$ 60hz one they had that looked small , this one is big i think ,

Very good but needs tweaking in settings
I would 100 percent recommend this monitor, it feels great and looks pretty good as well, I’m gonna get straight to the point. This monitor is good for gaming but the color accuracy is very poor, it’s not so bad that I wouldn’t buy it again but it was bad enough out of the box to where I had to change the gamma correction and turn up the digital vibrance in Nvidia control panel, just to make it at least decent colors for gaming. Over i would give this a 4.8/5 stars and would recommend. The 144hz also feels GREAT.

What’s going on with the Quality Control for this monitor?
Be wary, buyers. DO NOT get this monitor at its CURRENT STATE. It has TERRIBLE TERRIBLE color banding, it’s almost unreal. Sure it’s a TN panel, and it’s supposed to have some color banding, but it should not be this BAD. Play a game that gets really dark like Control or Metro Exodus, and the color banding becomes easily obnoxious. My 60hz TN panel that’s 7 years old doesn’t have color banding as bad as this monitor, which was released in 2019.This color banding seems to be an issue that occurred with more recent customers (late 2020 till now). Reviews on Amazon show that only in recent months, people have been complaining about the color banding. I read a blurbuster forum when this monitor was first released in mid-2019, and people had said this monitor had even less color banding than the ViewSonic XG2402 (which many consider to be the gold standard for affordable 144hz TN panels). On that site, people had nothing but COMPLIMENTS for this monitor. I was very excited to purchase and use this monitor… but now I’m at two replacements for this monitor and all of them had the horrendous color banding. That’s right: I have THREE of these monitors and all of them have bad color banding. They’re all on their way back to Amazon now.LG has some serious Quality Assurance issues to address with this model right now. DO NOT buy this monitor at its current state unless you’re ONLY going to be doing hardcore, competitive gaming, where things like colors and picture quality doesn’t matter to you. Personally, even if I was into competitive gaming, I still wouldn’t get this monitor. I’m giving this review a 2 star because none of the three monitors had dead pixels, at the very least.

The BEST monitor
I have had no issues with this monitor whatsoever. I want to get a second one and plan on it soon. I was a bit reluctant due to some of the reviews on here with issues such as connectivity but I’ve had no issues. I am using an HDMI cord and not a display port and most of the reviews are having issues with the latter so that might be it. Will definitely be buying again.

Great monitor for the price colors could be better though
The monitor is great there is no ghosting whatsoever in my usage so far. The menu is super simple and easy to use with detailed descriptions for each so you know exactly what you’re changing. The colors are kind of dim and whites are a little grey washed by default but you can easily fix that with the profiles and just tweaking settings the way you want, but it is a TN panel so the colors arent that strong but comparing to other TNs this one has some of the best by far. If you want a good reliable 144hz monitor and dont wanna break the bank definitely get this one it is perfect for FPS and anything else that you want to play.

Great monitor
Monitor arrived a day late, which was understandable because of the hurricane in my area. I had a bit of trouble setting it up, but everything you need to install it is in the package. You may want to buy a DisplayPort cable along with this because the monitor only comes with an HDMI cable. It CAN go up to 144hz, despite what another reviewer says. I was confused for a moment because certain presets only go up to 120hz. If you can’t find a resolution with 144hz, then create a custom one and it will work. This monitor also comes installed with Freesync (a beauty to behold)! You can tilt the stand forward or backward, but you can’t shift it up or down. Not a real big issue for me, but may be for you. All in all, a very nice monitor to have for the price.

As I have been building a gaming set up finding a gaming monitor that ticks all the boxes has been a bit tricky. This is one has proved excellent for the price, with its 144hz and 1ms response time, the colors are excellent everything looks amazing – Connected through PS4/5/Xbox.It arrived quickly and was easy to set up even for a Noob like me, so good I bought another one.Disclaimer might not improve your KDNew PC Build will be here soon. Will update how it runs with that.

Apex legends Xbox Player // Mac Mini User Review
I had a xfa240 but decided to upgrade(from a xbox perspective) to something that will give me 120 hz. My choices was this, Sceptre E2558B-1658A and Aoc AG241QX. The Aoc was too expensive so it was this or the Sceptra. I chose this one because of a youtube review where a guy said this monitor colors was great looking out the box. I can co sign that statement. This monitor looks beautiful out the box. The only thing i changed was freesync, response time, brightness and i was good to go.This monitor gave me 120 hz on my xbox one x which is what i was looking for. To all the xbox players go head and get you a monitor thats gives 120 hz, its really makes a difference when your playing no matter what the pc geeks say! The crosshairs they provide you are PERFECT. I had a Asus vg245h at one point and couldnt stand their oversized crosshairs but the simple red + sign on this monitor is perfect! The only cons i see about this monitor is you cant save settings, well you can partially. Everytime i turn on my xbox i have to go in settings and enable the crosshair, but what i chose for my freesync and response times stays the same so idk. I wish i could have a user settings option thats keeps everything how i like it. Another con is the port position makes the cables stick out. I had a wall mount that was close to the wall which was fine on the xfa240 but a problem on this monitor. It was a very tight fit for the hdmi cables and impossible for the dvi port. Luckily Microcenter had one with a lil more space from the wall for $10. Also the monitor has no speakers but i knew that before i made the purchase. The creative pebbles is a great addition for $20. Bottom line this was a great purchase for me. I read some reviews from a few years ago where guys said after awhile their monitor screen went all white. Hopefully LG fixed those issues and it doesnt happen to me in the future…..#fingerscrossed

I am not a serious gamer but when I got a new computer I decided to also get a new monitor. Computer is pretty high end with top line graphics card. Not sure I am getting full quality out of GPU with this monitor but the picture is good. It is very thin with the power supply being external. Got it on sale so I think worth the amount I paid and very good quality that will be good for majority of users

Great, affordable monitor with a fast refresh rate perfect for video intensive tasks.
Last December (2019) I built new computer systems for my husband and me. I had purchased two 32″ QHD LG monitors for our new systems that my husband and I both love. I needed to get a second monitor for video editing tasks, but didn’t need (or have room for) another one as large. So, I did a little search and came across this one. It is nearly identical to ours main monitors, except it’s smaller at 24″ and has a standard HD picture. The refresh rate of this monitor is quite fast and well suited to video intensive tasks (video editing, motion graphics, gaming, etc.). We’ve had no problems with the monitor since purchase. The color was reasonably accurate out of the box and matching it to my main monitor wasn’t difficult. We’re very happy with LG monitors and have no reason to look at anything else.If you’re looking for a great monitor with a nice picture, good color and fast refresh rate, I see no reason to look any further, unless you want to move up to a larger size. Highly recommended.** If you found this review helpful, please mark it as helpful to let me know and help other buyers. Thanks! **

Image Quality is fine, but design makes for poor cable routing
Ridiculously short power cord, and worse, it’s an AC Adapter brick, so there’s no way to easily just buy a longer power cord, or an extension. Cord is so short that you’re basically forced to have a ugly/cumbersome power brick on your desk to reach the power port. Even worse when you have dual monitors. Also, the display ports come out the back straight out, not downward. So you have a bulky cable sticking straight out which doesn’t look good when exposed if have an outward facing desk. Also gets in the way of monitor mount swing arms. A 90deg angle cable would probably be better, but a) it’s not included b) would block other HDMI ports limiting you to 1 input. Also, only 1 short HDMI cable is included, no DisplayPort cable. Which I prefer DisplayPort. So keep in mind to purchase in advance.

Great monitor, looks good and works perfect!
I put a Mac Mini on the back Vesa mount and have my Xbox in front. The screen looks great using both and I love how big the screen is without being cumbersome. The only minor issue I have is the controls. Takes a button press and a joystick push to shut the screen off. Sometimes other actions are detected instead. Very minor, especially since I set the auto-off and I can just leave it alone.

Terrible Color Banding (depth)
Refresh rate is as advertised but the color depth is terrible. Dark areas in both videos and games look horrendous. It looks similar to a display whenever you install a video card without the drivers on Windows. Ironically, I first noticed the issue by looking at the very product images on this page for this monitor. The photo of the powered off monitor looks like someone created it with water colors using only 10 shades of black. Also looking for drivers was a small adventure. It comes with a CD that only has a “manual” that mostly contains safety precautions and maintenance. When you go to LG’s website and enter the exact model it says this product is not found (although the search suggestions has it listed [what the heck]). I have to google search which takes me to what appears to be an Australian variant of the software and downloads page. From there I found the drivers and OSD software. The software does not seem to play nice with your monitor if you made any adjustments. It will give you random errors about not able to make any changes. Random because if you repeat the same adjustments as before they will suddenly work.I would recommend this monitor if you are strictly using this for competitive play as the Freesync feature is handy and it does go up to 144 frames if your graphics card can push it.I checked all my settings including color depth and bcp (I could not find if this monitor is 8 or 6 bcp) on my AMD control panel. I also have a 2nd monitor attached to the same graphics card that has no issues with color.

A Fantastic Gaming Monitor for Consoles
I purchased this monitor for my PS4 Pro. I know that the Pro can do 4K, but since most games give you the option of 4K or improved visuals/framerates, I figured I’d go with the latter. I have been beyond impressed at what LG is offering for the price. For only $175, you get a very good TN panel with high refresh rates, great response time, and vivid colors. Honestly, the image quality is so good that at times, I forget I’m looking at 1080p. Being VESA mountable at this price point is a plus as well. This panel unfortunately falls down when viewed at an angle like a lot of TN’s do, but when viewed from straight ahead, delivers a gorgeous picture and is silky smooth. It would be nice if it had HDR, but for the price, this monitor can’t be beat. If you’re looking for a quality gaming monitor for your console or PC gaming, this is a solid choice- highly recommended.

Basic screen
Works as expected, picture quality is good. I did not use it for gaming but for WFH.The complain is that it is not convenient to adjust height and direction. You can of course adjust direction by turning the base. I mean there is no mechanism to turn the direction of the screen without moving the base.

9/10 Monitor for gaming
Using this with a ps5 is mind blowing how good it works. Easy to set up. But the menu is a little hard to manage but thats is it. (EDIT) after a couple of months this monitor is still kicking and is still working, BUT when you touch the monitor the finger prints don’t come off and if they do it won’t be easy other than that this monitor is a 8.8/10 for being a budget monitor.

FPS sweat? You’ll need one of these.
I’ve been playing Apex Legends on PC since Season 1 on a 60hz monitor. Since day one I always noticed I had ever-so-slight input lag while in game, but always attributed it to internet connection or server-side issues or to my own PC, simply because I didn’t know any better. After a while my muscle memory would adjust to it and I began gaslighting myself, wondering if there was ever any lag in the first place. I just had to play better, duh. But even through the muscle memory, sometimes I could still feel that slight delay. Now fast forward a couple years. At this point I’ve progressed to a point in Apex where I know how good I am and how good I could/should be if I could fix this lag issue that I’ve put up with for years. I finallyyyyy decide to research input lag and refresh rates and monitor info, etc., then BOOM lightbulb. It never occurred to me for a second that my monitor could be the issue. Big oof.The moment I tried out my new monitor, Apex felt like a brand new game, and I felt like I had just stepped out of the hyperbolic time chamber, like all my chains were removed and I was finally able to play the game the way it was meant to be played, and to the fullest of my mechanical ability.NIGHT & DAY DIFFERENCE.If you play any FPS game or a game that demands super precise inputs, puhleez get a 144hz monitor.League of Legends, Runeterra, etc.,? Unnecessary.Apex Legends, Warzone, etc.? 100% yes. If you’re a sweat like me and you play to win and not just for fun (lol casuals) you can’t stay on a 60hz monitor and expect your gear to keep up with your mechanical skill and reaction time. Yes I’m being dead serious. Now go buy one.

Not bad
Honestly — cant be upset, will need an upgrade but i was totally pleased with this monitor. Recently built my first PC, with an RTX 4070 and I5 12600k. Since I was new to this I didnt realize i needed a new monitor, so i went looking for something that was affordable and compatible. Got this for around 130 bucks when it was originally 175 so it was a pretty good deal considering my budget, however Ive noticed grainy images with my PC — but to be completely fair the RTX4070 is a 1440p GPU, not a 1080p. If I want to I can apply higher resolution settings, and they come out well with no graininess. Besides that, for games where reaction time can really matter like shooters, RTS games, and even racing games, Ive had a blast. The monitor is super fast (at something like 165hz for 130usd), cheap, not too big either. Being used to small computer screens, this was pretty new to me, and honestly a lot of fun, although as i said before i still need to upgrade because my GPU isnt meant for 1080p

Hard to beat, but I expect more.
At what I paid ($120) this monitor is hard to beat. But there’s some design flaws I just can’t get behind, and it doesn’t perform as good in games as I expected. I looked at reviews going over overdrive settings, ghosting/smearing, accuracy and all kinds of tech specs and I decided this was my best option since I needed a monitor for the short term (before upgrading to what I’m saving up for). Unfortunately this monitor doesn’t seem to deliver the performance I expect. I’m not at liberty to say what it is without doing proper testing, but something feels off.All that said, I’m not sure you can do better for 120 these days, but I still feel like it should be slightly more polished for the price. And like I said, there’s just some general design flaws which I feel could have been easily avoided for no change in cost… For example, there’s no quick way to change inputs (important if you have a PC and console or any combo of two devices) and if you’re using a vesa mount that supports both sizes then one or more of the ports will be blocked by the mount bc of how close they are to the mounting holes. That’s probably something I could have checked out before buying, but I can access the ones I need for now and I also couldn’t find an option I was sure was better so this one will do for now.Its not a bad monitor by any means… I’m just very hard to please. And trust me, I could go on about micro-details for days. But instead I’ll leave you with this:If you’re not confident in another option, then go with this one. If you think you can find something better for the price, do it. And if you have more money, consider spending it on a higher end one. My advice is to watch Hardware Unboxed on YouTube for monitor comparisons. He does some great in-depth reviews. This monitor looks and plays great for 120, even if I wish it was slightly better.

Perfect for beginners
The lighting and color grid is easy on the eyes. I compared it with my boyfriends monitor and mine is less saturated and more on the blue light side while his is more saturated and more on the white side.

Just what I needed
I’m not a huge gamer but I play on my xbox one s maybe once a week for an hour or two, and this monitor works great for that. Happy with resolution and brightness. The monitor has a good aesthetic as well. Price for screen size and quality was the best deal I could find.

Top-Notch Picture Quality with Some Minor Issues
First off, I have to say that the monitor is really nice overall. The colors are crisp and the picture quality is top-notch.However, there are a couple of things that I’m not too thrilled about. The bezel on this thing is pretty large, which makes the screen feel a bit smaller than it actually is. It’s not a huge deal, but it’s something to keep in mind if you’re used to a monitor with a thinner bezel. Also, the cable management and ports on this monitor are kind of weird. It’s not as straightforward as some other monitors I’ve used, and it took me a bit of time to figure out which cables went where. It’s not a huge issue once you get everything set up, but it’s something to be aware of.Overall, I do really like theMonitor . It’s a great option for gamers who want a high-quality monitor that won’t break the bank. Just be prepared for the large bezel and slightly confusing cable management/port setup.

Didn’t come with screws needed for the stand

Eh?
It’s super flimsy when putting it onto the stand, I can’t seem to fix it and even got someone who know how to fix these things to check it and he said it was the way it’s made and can’t do anything about it. I’m just sad and disappointed
