No use for camping if you have no internet without purchasing additional accessories.
I have a 11 person tent. I thought it would be great fun to have a projector to play downloaded movies from streaming services or gaming on nintendo switch. I was drawn to this product because it has a 2.5 hour battery life. Unfortunately, with no internet in the wildernesses and obviously no outlets, this product can’t serve my purpose. It is frustrating how difficult it is to get accurate information about portable projectors on the internet. I find it hard to believe that I could be the first person on earth that thought it would be great fun to do a movie night camping outside. Yes, I’m aware that I could purchase a battery pack outlet to take with me. I just figured there would be some projector out there that could serve my intended purpose. It makes me wonder if these projectors publish purposefully vague information on the products to get suckers like me to buy.

Decent for small parties
This product is great but it only has one little catch you can not stream anything via Bluetooth speaker sounds decent, Bluetooth connects right away, and beam is pretty clear even during the day.

Great cheap projector
Probably not the best choice to have an outdoor movie night… but for projecting power points for education… it does a decent job…. truly an excellent job for the price… it’s not the smallest, it’s not the brightest. But it works … used a remote wifi dongel to connect the computer – the USB port powers the dongel … so it’s totally wireless and performs perfectly

Great Projector
The projector works great life and my only complaint is that it only last about 2 1/2 hours and then you either have to keep it consistently on a charge to run or you can only watch one movie

It’s junk, that’s why it’s cheap.
It’s not user friendly or visible during the day even with blackout curtains

Battery like is 10 minutes
This seems to be a good projector but mine has a ten minute battery life before shutting off. Can still be used with a cord.

Total rip
The media could not be loaded.
It violently flashes bright lights and it doesn’t do this initially, then it starts and it’s been so obnoxious, this video is actually calmer than it was when it started it was sharper and more spaced, did a little bit of trouble shooting but I just can’t see it being something I can fix, if I was epileptic this could be super dangerous

Solid budget projector.
This works well and it is a fun color and design. The picture quality is very nice and we haven’t had any problems with it though it will need charging after each use or be connected to a power source for longer movies.

Awesome affordable projector with internal battery and decent image/sound quality
A great deal if you need a projector with a built-in battery and you don’t need something with HD resolution. I was able to easily get 2+ hours of battery life each time I made use of this in locations that didn’t have easily accessible wall outlets for power. It has dual HDMI inputs for connecting laptops, DVD players, etc. there is also an older VGA port for legacy devices. The internal speaker sounds good, better than expected for this price range. The brightness will struggle if you use this outdoors in the sunlight, I recommend thinking of it as an indoor projector. I ended up being very happy with this for the price, I have used similar inexpensive projectors from no-name brands and they tend to be very unreliable and just won’t always work when you need to use them. This one from RCA is much more dependable and has better build quality and I imagine that the bulb will last a lot longer. I think this is a great budget option for someone who needs a projector that can work without being plugged in (for 2-2.5 hours at a time) and doesn’t want to spend a small fortune on one that is intended for high resolution/home theater uses.

I can’t get the audio to work 🥺
The only time I can use the speaker is via Bluetooth, I can hook up the Bluetooth screen and for 2023 that’s crazy out dated

High end projector without the high end cost!
Expectations are a bit high since this is a name brand, but I was also keeping in mind that it’s got a fairly low price point compared to other projectors. That said, this unit really is pretty great. It is super easy to operate right out of the box, it’s fairly lightweight, and it’s a cool design, albeit a little clunky…which doesn’t interfere with portability, but it makes it a little more difficult to store than other projectors of this type, which typically have a much smaller footprint than this one does.Picture quality is good. You’re going to want to use this with a screen for maximum performance. There are lots of input options too, so you can connect it to many things. Sound is good too, especially considering this is really not a high end audio device or even close, and battery life is VERY good…almost surprisingly so.The biggest (and really only) issue I have with this is that it is very lacking in the Bluetooth connectivity department. You can connect to it to play music but that’s about it. I’m sure this is a copyright issue but it’s still a bit of an inconvenience.Overall, this is a great projector for the price, though, and the above gripe is sort of minor since you can just work around it. I would still recommend it anyway, as it’s a solid, reliable option for a movie in the backyard/on the lawn, block party etc.

Take your movie night with you!
I’ve been looking for a projector that I can use to hold a neighborhood movie night, and the RCA-RPJ060 might finally be it. It packs a lot of features in for its modest price tag, and outperforms several similarly priced units in almost every way.OK, that “almost” is probably gonna bug you until I explain it, so let’s get that out of the way right off the bat. The biggest complaint that I have with this unit is that it’s clunky and difficult to transport, with almost no concessions in design to make it convenient for you to get it and the necessary accessories to where you want them. It’s boxy and bulky, although surprisingly lightweight for the size. That weight made me hope that there was some sort of internal storage for the remote and cables, but no dice. There are a couple of pockets on the side that sort of not-quite act like handles (they’re not rounded to help you grip them at all). Since the cables came packaged in those, I had hoped they would conveniently store there also, but no. So you’ll probably want some sort of case to keep everything together.OK, that’s a lot of words taken up on what is honestly my singular gripe with this projector. Literally every other aspect of it either matches or exceeds every other projector I’ve reviewed.*Brightness: The RCA-RPJ060 isn’t a projector you can use in full daylight. There, I said it. But for the price point, you’re just not going to get that. What it does have is some of the best brightness I’ve found in an ultra-budget projector. I played it in my office at noon with the blinds open against a highly reflective white wall, and was able to see the images. That already puts it head and shoulders over most units I’ve tried. Once the sun had gone down a bit and I actually bothered to put my screen up, I was able to dial in the brightness even better..*Image Clarity: In twilight conditions against a proper screen, the image is 1080p, which is typical for ultra-budget projectors.*Adjustments: It has a keystone! Don’t laugh, that’s a luxury at this price point. I’d say better than 50% of the units I’ve reviewed don’t have it. Aside from that, there’s a pretty typical suite of options available to adjust brightness, color, sharpness and clarity.*Inputs: It has the usual list of HDMI/VGA/Composite inputs, with the added luxury of a second HDMI input. It also has Bluetooth, but for copyright reasons it will only play music or other audio.*Sound: Speaking of audio…the sound on this thing is superb (again, for the price). The 20W speaker kicks out surprisingly deep bass without neglecting the lower pitches. I played music and movies on this unit, and while it won’t compete with actual separate speakers, it’s definitely loud and clear enough to play a movie on outdoors for a bunch of kids. That brings me to the other luxury this unit has that doesn’t really fit anywhere else: The battery. Movie nights typically involve asking a neighbor if I can run an extension cord from their house to the park nearby. With the 2 1/2 hour battery life for this unit, you can skip that step unless you’re planning to show the Lord of the Rings movies. That’s the element that puts this over the top from a still-positive 4 stars to a full 5.So in the end, while I wouldn’t recommend this to be your only audio/visual device, it’s definitely something worth keeping around for special occasions. You get a lot for the price, and it’s (almost) all enjoyable.

Great for movie nights
This projector is great for at home movie nights with the family. It’s bigger then projectors I am used to, but I’m happy with it. The quality is great and does just what I need it to, and the price is very reasonable!

Unmatched Price Point
At first I was going to dock a star from this product until I saw how ridiculously low cost it is for the features it offers. At this price point, it is a steal, especially currently where it is half priced. There are other brands that run in their msrp price range and do not boast half of the benefits this projector does.1st the most disappointing aspect is connectivity via bluetooth. You figure you may be able to play movies or stream directly from your iPhone. Not the case, I am sure it is due to streaming rights, but no Netflix, Youtube, Disney+ or Hulu would connect via youtube. The only thing that connects via bluetooth is music.HDMI and USB work fine, I haven’t tested the VGA port yet, although I can’t imagine that older tech doesn’t work well. Here are the best parts, it truly is portable and has a built in rechargeable battery. The other projectors I own/owned needed an extension cable or portable power station. This rechargeable feature alone, along with the quality and features make this an excellent purchase. The sound and picture are great, remote works out of the box and it is easy to transport and set up where ever you need it.

Less than 45 minutes battery time
Battery dies after about 40 minutes of usage. Some brands of devices require a specific cord to work with this projector, but most just aren’t compatible.I knew I was getting something cheapish so my standards weren’t that high to begin with, but man o’ man, this projector is useless.

Lens is extremely fragile and came broken
The entire projector is very light and cheap plastic, and worse is the lens is entirely plastic. When it arrived, the lens was completely out of alignment and could not focus. As seen in the pictures, only a corner can get in focus, but the rest is out of alignment.

Am I missing something here?
I was looking over a few reviews and I thought maybe I was missing something here, but I did not have a good experience with this at all and I feel like I would be steering people in the wrong direction by saying this is a good machine, it’s not. First I had to have it placed within 5′ of the wall, which barely left room to sit in front of it. Second, it would only play sound on bluetooth for me.Third, the clarity is HORRIBLE, yes I get it, it’s 480p, well they sell 1080 in the same price range. Fourth the fan is SO loud, it’s obnoxious. This product is very overpriced, hard no for me.

As basic as you can get, but the picture quality is very good
Set-up:Extremely simple. We had this projector up and running within 5 minutes.Noise:For a budget projector, this one is fairly quiet.Picture quality:Is this projector going to provide true 1080p/4k quality picture? No, absolutely not, not should it considering the price point. However, we you can expect is a clear, crisp picture that projects evenly. In my opinion, this is very good picture quality considering this is an indoor outdoor projector.Bottom line:For a bare bones, budget friendly projector, this has a very nice picture!5 stars

RCA – RPJ060 Portable Projector Review
The media could not be loaded.
The RCA – RPJ060 Portable Projector is a great Portable Projector is great for having outdoor movie nights and the picture (for a 480p projector) and sound are good for the price.Picture: I should mention that NO this is NOT a 1080p projector the projector is native 480p that takes the 1080p signal from whichever device you connect to it and downscales it down to 480p the picture was good enough for me but for those who want a higher resolution for a portable projector will want to spend a bit more for a higher end projector.Sound: The sound is fantastic on the RCA Projector the speaker on it is fairly large and is of good sound quality.Battery: The battery life on this projector is around 2hrs so you will definitely want to keep your charger around while using it especially if you are watching multiple movies or a longer movie.Would I Recommend This Projector?: Yes and no for those looking for a cheap projector to breakout every now and then and for outdoor movie nights and don’t really care about picture quality then yes I would 100% recommend this projector. For those looking for better picture quality might want to look for a better alternative.
