Works Well
Easy set up. Picture is really nice and clear. Google assistant ok, I am not good with it yet. I couldnot add my PBS app or Hallmark. Not sure if they are supported by Google or Sony. Will have toinvestigate more. Good TV for the price. No external speakers used, TV speaker is fine.

Pretty picture
Would definitely buy the Sony again.Nice TV with a very good – if not great-picture- the best tv processors are usually reserved for larger screens beginning around 40inches or more. This 32 inch Sony has greatly improved my viewing compared to the cheaper LG models I owned before ( esp the smaller 24in LG’s).I think it’s worth the extra $.Only complaint- and this true for so many tv’s: the feet holding the tv are a little too wide so I may buy a separate universal stand for $20 online…

Bad Sony products and cust. svc
Will NEVER buy another Sony product!! Received this TV expecting a “WOW” due to Sony’s reputation. When it arrived, everything was ok. When I changed channels on the cable box (Verizon Fios) the audio/video was out of sync. Had to turn TV off and on again. Changed channels again ang got the same results. Called customer svc. and was switched to a level 2 tech. He checked a few options and said,”our built-in apps (you tube, etc) are working ok, it’s your cable box’s problem. I totally disagreed and argued with him.(Edward). Called Amazon cust.svc. and was told to send the TV back and they’ll send a new one. Great!! Got the new one, set it up and lo and behold!! Exact same problem! Called Sony cust. svc. again and was sent as far as a level 4 tech. He did the exact same proceedures and came to the exact same conclusion but this time I had them. I hooked up the first set to my living room cable box where my LG oled is hooked up to and got the same audio/video lag problems! Told the level 4 tech that it’s probably the HDMI ports that are attached to the mother board. He had me take a 5 second video on my phone and send it to them so they can send it up to a level 5 engineer and get back to me. 3 days and no return call. By the way, I asked each service rep at each level if Sony would refund my money. ” Sony does not refund any money”!! My advice: Beware of Sony and their service reps. They’ll say that everything BUT the Sony TV is causing the problem.

Good enough, but over-priced.
My initial reaction after 1 day of owning are:1. Not crazy about included Google TV features. I found Roku TCL TV I replaced with this Sony easier to set up and configure.2. Picture is good, but not any better than TV’s $100 less than this. I suppose this is just Sony’s answer to all the budget TV’s out there. OK, but the Sony tax is grating.3. I do not like the bright power light, very distracting. According to their support people this model does not have the ability to turn the power light off while viewing. I have had to literally block the light with a sound bar I am using.4. Sound is typical of TV’s this size, which is why I use a sound bar.5. Table legs are also typical of TV’s in this size, they are crap. TV’s should have real center mounted stands.6. SONY remote is way over complicated. TCL Remotes are more compact and easier to use.Over-all I am pretty underwhelmed by my purchase. It barely passes. Why this is an Amazon Choice is beyond me, unless there is not any better in the market today. I do not know since the last TV I purchased was a TCL Roku 28 inch about 5 or 6 years ago.

Google TV is great
I bought this because I have two other Sony tvs. I had a great experience with Google tv. I also have a Chromecast HD for a dumb tv. The Google TV user interface is much better than vizio, samsung, lg, or any other platform. But on *this* tv, it feels more sluggish. Picture is fine. But I can’t give it five stars.

Custom is the Answer
My old Sony Bravia set started turning white, so I had to replace it. I was surprised when it arrived and it was a Sony Bravia. Nowhere did it say “Bravia”. I adjusted the setting to “Custom”, and it works great.

Almost perfect
Placed my order for this TV 10/28 and it arrived today, 10/29, in perfect condition. I was worried about the legs being too wide for my stand, but it fit perfectly! This TV is so sleek and has great, quality picture. I was hesitant about the Google TV part, but decided to give it a try anyway. Home Screen and navigation are excellent, however, the system update took FOREVER. Glad it was a one time thing!…..My biggest complaint is the sound, it seems off and no amount of setting adjustment seems to help. I will definitely be investing in a sound bar. Price was a little up there, but picture quality alone is worth it! Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase! 🙂

EXCESSIVE ISSUES – RIDDLED WITH PROBLEMS
I have always loved Sony products. I have two other Sony TV’s in the home and wanted to add this 32-Inch to my guest room.My home is on Wi-Fi Mesh 6 (2GB) so we enjoy superior internet. The Sony 32-Inch set did not.Despite several RESETS, adding and deleting the network and trying every possible trick known (to connect) , I could get the set to connect to our network/internet but it would constantly disconnect a bit later. On its own. No other device was having issues in the home; just the Sony.Despite it being a high-end Sony, they had decided to sell the TV as a 720p resolution set only. Thus the picture is far too smooth or glossy with little detail. The set also needs its BRIGHTNESS turned up high as daytime light made the screen a challenge to see. 720P resolution sets are usually sold by low-end brands. The REFRESH rate is also downgraded to just 60Hz. Most quality sets are 120Hz. Even Samsung’s 32-inch TV is 120Hz and 1080P.Just not Sony quality. Such a disappointment as I was so excited that Sony had returned with a 32-inch set again. It would be acceptable as a TV if it were a sub-par brand or a bargain brand costing about half of what it does.I hope Sony will up its game and return to overall quality and the stellar reputation it has in video.

BEST little Sony
Best 32” Sony TV around. Already has Netflix, HBOMax, Prime and you can install other movie apps as well – No need for a Firestick. I loved this TV so much that husband purch same TV 3 days later and at a Lighting Deal that was $50 less. Great color, clarify and audio. Only 11 lbs so very moveable. Highly recommendthis slick 32” TV. Sony is the best for color and clarity and User Friendly characteristics. We had a 62” Samsung before and Id never purch another Samsung again. You wont be dissappointed with this 32” Sony.

Don’t buy this TV
This TV would not recognize a USB drive when plugged in. I bought this TV because of Sony’s brand name and reputation and was massively disappointed. I will not pay good money for a TV that does not have basic features like this and they do not work. The remote is also a ghetto version and was much lower quality than I expected for the price I paid. Do not buy this piece of junk!!!!!

Smart versus Dumb TV
If you initiate some of the better apps on a smart tv , you will incurring a cost for that privilege . If you go that route and accumulate a large quantity of apps, this can add up $$$ very quickly ! The alternative beingstaying with a cable company. 5 Years ago I purchased an android tv box for the purpose of enabling Apps of my choosing both foreign and domestic with 95% of the selections being free. The android box that I purchased from Amazon is NIVIDIA which in my opinion is the best on the market with constant updates being provided. For my money, stay with a non-smart tv.

Sony Bravia
Purchased this 32 inch screen as a replacement for son. I try to purchase one brand throughout house so I’ve only purchased RCA and Samsung TVs. My son games, so after researching reviews, I said why not. I am glad that we did. The picture is beautiful and my son likes the Roku features. I had a great experience and no problems receiving item. I did notice that the bezel on the top was somewhat lose but the tv works fine.

Audio and Video WILL REPEATEDLY Lose Synchronization–This is a Certainty
I had the exact situation of another reviewer, “Rich”, in January 2023. Purchased this TV to replace a 32″ Sony Bravia from 2011 that never had an audio/video problem. Over time, or when changing channels quickly, audio and video in the new TV would lose synchronization. I tried the TV with a different cable box (a box that is from a different manufacturer) and had the same problem, so it’s not the cable box and it occurs on any news channel whether it is CNN, MSNBC, or the BBC. Amazon replaced the TV, but the problem remains. I still have a 22″ Sony that is 10 years old that has no such problem with either of my boxes. So, the problem is the TV model. It is clear why Sony, which had a stellar reputation for quality, is steadily losing market share.

Sony does not honor warranty.
Since day one the audio and video have gone out of sync. with each other, I have spent hours on the phone with Sony Technical support and they can’t find the problem and refuse to repair or replace the TV. I have offered to ship it to them so they can see the problem for themselves and they refused to service it and honor the 1-year warranty on this TV which is only 6 months old. Very, very poor customer service and technical support.

Brilliant display only compromised by resolution
I purchased this directly through Sony for the points, so my rating doesn’t count towards the overall rating. This is a very sleek and good looking TV. I like how the power LED somewhat resembles the player LED on the DualSense controller. and the legs are closer to the centre giving it a nice small footprint. A wealth of inputs with three HDMI inputs, two USB, plus a composite video input which is fantastic for old game consoles. And I love that it has an external power supply. My biggest fear purchasing this TV was the impact 720p was going to have, lacking native 1080p in this day and age is inexcusable. It’s what put me off purchasing this TV for years because it is the only 32″ TV Sony makes and this room is too small for anything bigger. Upon setting it up, it had appeared that those fears were founded as the picture no matter the source was like streaming video on a low bitrate connection, I couldn’t understand why so many people spoke highly of this TV.It turns out the TV needed a software update, so be sure to update since it doesn’t automatically do it when setting up for the first time. This is my first foray with Android TV so I didn’t think to check the notification dot in the corner, and didn’t notice there was an update until I was playing around with the settings. After the update, the picture is gorgeous. You’ll still want to pass it a 1080p signal as the resolution is slightly larger than 720p. It is weird having HDR on such a small display, but there is very little to no light bleeding which I’ve noticed. The only reason I knock off a star is the lack of native 1080p support. I tend to sit closer to the TV, and less than 5 feet away the pixels are somewhat noticeable. That said it doesn’t detract too much from the picture and isn’t as noticeable during motion or when you’re far enough away, and the TV is still a worthwhile purchase. When connecting a PC such as the Steam Deck, you are able to set the display to its native resolution of 1360×768 which makes me suspect that rather than producing a panel specifically for a 32″ they are adapting one of their larger panels, but this is just speculation. That said, the reason you are paying more for a lower resolution is because of that Sony X-Reality magic. The processors and brilliant HDR display really make the vivid images pop, and watching TV or playing games you soon forget the lack of fine detail. Some side notes which may not affect you:I’m not much of a fan of the mushy buttons on the remote which came with it, but it is nice it works through both IR and Bluetooth. I have a spare FireTV remote from an old FireTV stick which died, and that can be paired with the TV and used instead albeit with some quirks. Note that none of the following are issues with the stock remote. The IR codes are stored on the remote itself so as long as you don’t unpair it from a FireTV stick prior to pairing with the TV, you may retain volume and power functionality (if you unpair it from the FireTV stick while it’s still bound to it, it will wipe the IR codes). After pairing the remote to the TV you may safely unpair from the FireTV stick. The remote seems to go to sleep with the TV, something which isn’t noticeable with a FireTV stick, and you’ll have to press a button to wake up the remote before you can control the TV. Some Android TV apps do not like the select button, Sling for example ignores select and you have to press play to select a channel. Sometimes the Android TV interface will lag when using the FireTV remote seemingly ignoring it, only to process the previous button presses all at once after a delay. Lastly even though the voice button works, the microphone doesn’t appear to work with Android TV. Once again these aren’t issues with the remote which came with the TV.Lastly, I have an old Sony stereo receiver (STR-DE935) and it appears that this TV uses the exact same volume IR codes as that receiver. I thought it was pretty neat that the activity light blinked despite changing the volume on the receiver, but this exposed a bug with the interface. The TV ignores the volume controls when you configure an external audio output, so the blinking light is only for show. Although when the TV is processing something in the background like switching inputs or launching an app it forgets to ignore them and changes the volume on the TV as well. No audio is outputted through the TV speakers, but it is a bit annoying having a nonsensical volume display appearing on the screen until it remembers to ignore them.

Excellent and Not-So-Excellent
I deducted 2 stars because at this price, this 2022 Sony TV really should be 1080p instead of 720p, there really should be HDMI CEC (Sony calls this Bravia Sync), and because the remote control is way too long. There’s a lot of empty space. The remote takes up more space on your table than it has to.The TV is very easy to set up from start to finish. It’s a nice-looking TV, and seems of good build quality. If you input a high-quality signal into the HDMI port, you’ll be very happy with the picture. The speaker quality on this TV is perfectly fine.

Not as good as older models
This product is awful. I needed a replacement for a Sony Wega that was too small. Since it’s hard to find new 32 inch TVs and Sony is a good brand, I own other Sony devices, I bought this unaware how inferior Bravia models are to WEGA . One site indicated Bravia could be hooked up to a DVD/VCR player recorder but was completely misleading. After spending enormous amounts of money to getting second installation because I thought the initial one was simply wrong, discovered it really did not have enough attachments equipped to record. Also HdMI externals are so mixed up they intercept different functions. One seems to be not functional. If I select player another function pops up.Had I known I could not record I would never have purchased. By the time I waited for two different technicians I went past the time I could return so now I’m stuck. I wish I had purchased a larger Wega before. Manufacturers get worse not better with newer models.

Just stay away
Where to even start. Let’s assume the TV is actually working first. When working the navigation is terrible, it’s the slowest tv I’ve ever had. Takes a good 30 seconds just to see what’s on the Home Screen. The remote control is massive. Like a boat anchor. But these things don’t really matter because it seldom works. It’s such a pain I don’t even really use it. Today I lost sounds. Just wouldn’t play sound. After an hour I noticed there was a system update available and that fixed it. Which is super annoying. It constantly loses wifi and I have to reconnect it. The apps crash constantly. And when you launch an app it’s another 30-45 seconds before it’s usable. The whole experience is terrible. Except the picture. Which is actually good.

Smart TV too smart for my 82 year old father
I ordered this TV for my dad. He loves it. Beautiful colour and picture quality He loves using the voice command remote control too. Most times, advanced technology confuses him. Unfortunately, I live on the other side of the country so i’ve been spending multiple hours over the phone trying to help him with the initial set up. It’s been over a week now and i’m still helping him get all his TV channels in.In conclusion. Great TV. I highly recommend but it might not be suitable for a senior citizen if you’re not around to help them set it up and explain how smart TV’s operate.
